I think there is some confusion between this perfume and the flanker Organza Indecence, which is an equally lovable spicy-woody-vanilla. Unfortunately, after letting it sit on its shelf for about two years (alas, other love interests came in sight), Organza stopped being its former self. I hardly ever need unless it is light like Trish McEvoy's Blackberry and Vanilla { love that scent , it gets compliments } .

Either way, this is by no means to say that Organza is a bad perfume - I still adore its scent from the bottle, but that just so happens that it no longer suits me, which happens. It is so feminine and lovely in its affect that it would be perfect for wearing a soft, full skirted dress, made with the fabric organza. Olfactory perception is a truly fascinating subject to consider while diving into the endlessly giving world of perfumery.

When I first spray it I get this strong sweet bubblegum tuberose smell with woody undertones, reminds me of an ylang ylang in Guerlain L'instant perfume. To me, this amazing scent is a luxurious, decadent and a spicy one exuding the elegance as well as mystery without any sacrifice of sex appeal. This is a Ladies fragrance for you guys, like me, who like to wear some of the women's fragrances, this one is daring, if you want to go with it. So, from my experience, the house of Givenchy has always specialised in making distinctly feminine perfumes.

My bottle is from 2002, with the 6 digit batch code just before LVMH took over with their 4 digit codes. When I did have Organza on my shelf (like 10 years ago or more) I didn't wear it very often because it was so bold and intense.This fragrance will have a special place in my heart forever, it's the last fragrance I gave to my mother as a Christmas gift, and I smelled it during all the last year of her life. I owned an old 5ml and used it in it's entirety, but I found it to be a sexy, spicy 80s oriental with a bombastic projection. calming, it makes me envision a woman who's wise from a life of bold choices and interesting experiences, a woman who laughes loudly and loves fiercely. Picture soft white petals and creamy white vanilla ice cream with fresh nuts crushed inside, a lovely, sweet, white floral.
