update 7/26/23: i read this book almost a year ago and i still think about how absolutely tragic it was. The southern end of the site once held the Driffield to Malton railway which disappeared in to the mile long Burdale tunnel about half way up this dale, reappearing by the deserted medieval village of Wharram Percy to the North. I see an old friend, she is still beautifully elegant, the epitome of grace, attractively slim, with large, dark brown eyes with matching eyelashes, long legged, dark chestnut and still .

Once you start back on your descent please retrace your steps to avoid the dangerous steep sided area.There is a lot of loss, death and healing involved, so please, if you have any triggers regarding that, I would suggest against reading this. i said i liked her heroine(s)—and i did—but her muddling through an egregious amount of information while adding her back and forth on every single piece of it kept me skimming. and when one of the the guys from the ball gets a bit too comfortable with lizzie even though she doesn’t want it! You'll have to get used to this small flaw of mine, but I become quite rabid if anyone dares to sniff around you. Hm perhaps we shouldn’t foreshadow like that bc I think I’ve figured out nearly half of the plot twists and im barely 15% into the story(Update: I was right.
