I tried it again a few days after the initial test and had the same reaction, I lasted about 45 minutes before and I had to scrub. It reminds me of my days as a scout (dib dib) all in all, I think I need to get used to it but so far not bad. i got this version because i thought i might prefer it based on the notes, so i was very glad to find out that i was right. Without having the original, the two flankers "Sport" and "À LÈxtreme" (ENE) have become my absolute favourite fragrances.

If you jam your nose into your arm you won't get this comparison, but just let the fragrance come to you and you'll see what I mean. Longevity however is not long on me, becoming close to the skin after around 3 hours eventually lasting almost six.But this Extreme version is a whole different animal: a smoky vetiver heart decorated with softer woody resins and incense, well-mannered, even sophisticated.

If you're very familiar with pine forests like I am then this will not smell "dark" to you, it will smell like freshly cut heart wood. You will feel as though a cool, grey mist were lingering about your surroundings obscuring any light or ability to see far. I very much enjoy it myself, smells like the woods in England after a rainfall and you just grabbed a piece of wood off the damp ground. I don't even experiment with this one because I have zero use for dead-flat Vetiver and soapy-sappy Cypress in any fragrance I make.Apply one or two sprays to dry skin on the warmer pulse points of your neck and lower jaw area, and on your wrists and inside the elbows to make your fragrance last longer and project better. In the late dry-down there is a sort of slightly sweet caramel that emerges, very subtle, maybe it is the resin. These first 5-10 minutes are a bit too much for me personally, but once it settles it is really beautiful.
