Matured solely in ex-Bourbon barrels the Indigo is smooth and elegant with hints of creamy dulce de lache, vanilla, cappuccino, cocoa, lemongrass and hazelnut.The name "Indigo" was inspired by the color blue, which was crafted by the ancient Maya using the Indigo flower (añil). Further indulgent hazelnut cappuccino with smooth vanilla, dark chocolate, butterscotch and creamy dulce de leche. Distilled from molasses using a column still, it has a pleasant aroma of biscuits, hazelnuts, sweetness, and vanilla. Local legend suggests that many centuries ago, a Mayan goddess came to the valley and endowed it with fertile soils and riches.A less complex body and a shorter tail are balanced by a pleasant sweet taste that will satisfy even less demanding rum drinkers.

Sustained bright yellow gold color, small frank nose with a little white chocolate, cocoa, smoky wood tip, good balance on a fairly full-bodied rum, sweetness but lack of consistency, frank character but little marked, frank product, straight but without much peculiarity or character. Indigo Rum is handcrafted at the distillery in El Salvador and barrel aged in ex-Bourbon oak casks for 8 years.
