Many amplifiers such as my Adcoms don't use output board relays, this can result in a small power on pop but is not a problem. They are big and heavy amps - so before I break my back hauling them upstairs to my apartment, just wanted to see if they could be used as a regular amp rather than integrated in a Crestron system. Pretty soon you will be wanting to try out the 20x60mm, which is, also, smaller and lighter than the 20x80mm's. Then you connect the speaker across the "hot" (red) terminals of these two amp channels to get your bridged channel.

It can even control power on individual amplifier boards to save power if only one room/zone is playing music. From the factory these cables have both the left + right output channels bonded to pin 2, and pins 1 and 3 are grounded together. The official spec requires 24 volts DC power, but luckily it was perfectly happy with only 19 volts — which was great since I have a large collection of old laptop power supplies. At first I tried running a separate grounding connection between the Crestron amp and the gaming PC, which did actually help quiet down the noise, but only slightly.
In the past I had modified a 2x60 amplifier to work without cresnet just using an external 24V power supply.This is not only a more expensive and time consuming modification, but removing the relays prevents short circuit protection from kicking in and could lead to the amp frying itself. The A720 had a spell of about 10 out of focus shots at 40,000 plus but otherwise all these cameras are faultless, except a weak zoom spring and coating screen damage on the A650.
A CNAMPX-16X60 happy at home in a proper rack full of Crestron gear, with a gorgeous wiring job by the installer. The 2x60 uses a 3 position switch such that it supports Stereo, Bridged, and Summing (the right input also feeds the left amplifier in dual mono mode).
The good thing about the 2x60's bridge circuit design is that if the switch is open then it is as if the bridge module isn't there, it only connects the feedback resistor when the switch is in bridge mode. The original configuration had the LCR, and side surround speakers on the XPA-5, rear surrounds on the QSC, subwoofers on one Crown XLS 2500, and the Buttkicker on another. When I worked at the Booth Museum, the stuffed specimens of the winter and summer for forms of the Hare and Stout where very popularly used in teaching camouflage. The Pentax have good color rendition and clarity, but show an objectionable amount of ghosting and flare on bright objects such as Jupiter. From the control system, the main amplifier power, as well as each stereo amp channel, can be individually turned on and off.
