The item was shipped fast and was nicely packaged in a very thick paper mailing envelope and arrived as scheduled in perfect used condition. With an international twist, vegetable tagines and moussakas mingle with British stalwarts such as sausage rolls and mulligatawny.

Although annoyed, I must say this seller is very professional and refunded my purchase promptly, in a most courteous manner--somewhat remarkably for such a small dollar amount. This is a delicious, quick and incredibly easy meal, and I substituted a pack of mixed dried porcini, oyster and shitake mushrooms (from Asda) for fresh oyster mushrooms. Delia Smith CBE is an English cook and television presenter, known for teaching basic cookery skills in a no-nonsense style. The combo of the mushrooms, pak choi, spring onion, ginger, and hoi sin sauce was really flavoursome and this beats a take-away any day.

Start by roasting cut up peppers ,courgettes ,whole mushrooms and tomatoes in a covered pan at 180 for about 45 minutes .

Delicious as these are, however, they’re far softer and sweeter than a traditional sausage roll, and I’d like to find something that doesn’t feel so much like a vegetarian alternative.Having combed my bookshelves, and the internet, I’ve concluded that meat-free sausage rolls fall into a number of broad camps.

I would rather have a vegetarian cookery book not include cakes and biscuits though as they are nearly always vegetarian so it seems a bit pointless, I would rather see them in a book of just cakes and biscuits but that's a personal preference. A compilation of recipes from previous Delia books, this also includes 50 new, not-been-published before recipes. At last - what every vegetarian has been waiting for: a vegetarian cookbook from Queen of Cooks, Delia Smith. Not only savoury dishes are included but her infamous puddings such as plum and almond buttermilk cobbler and apple pie are here to ensure either a full three course meal for a vegetarian dinner party or a single dish for yourself. Breakfast is simple - cereals, porridge, berries, yoghurts , non dairy if they are dairy free but worth a try for anyone , almond or oat milk , toast etc.The majority of pages are undamaged with some creasing or tearing, and pencil underlining of text, but this is minimal. It is best to add the water slowly until you have the right consistency – if you pour in too much water the dough will be too sticky to roll out. One of my favourites is sliced aubergine spread with pasta sauce and grated cheese, (I use a smoked cheese) baked until crispy. As Delia says this is a "collection that spans my entire cookery career" and each recipe has been retested and updated to take account of new techniques and ingredients. Roasting the vegetables before cooking with the noodles and sauce made for a highly flavored result, as did mixing in chopped olives and capers. Used bought puff pastry and for filling down the middle I put cooked onion,garlic,peppers,mushrooms,herbs,cheese and a small amount of drained tinned tomatoes so it wasn’t too dry.Meanwhile, put the oil in a frying pan over a medium heat and, once hot, fry the onion, stirring regularly, until soft and golden. This one was easy to make and have made extra to freeze in portions of sauce so I can cook vegetables in it for a ready meal. Brush the beaten egg along one edge, then fold the pastry over and seal it as carefully as possible. Although I am a meat lover, I do not mind going vegetarian from time to time, especially for a delicious vegetarian dish such as this brown rice salad from Delia Smith. As an enthusiastic consumer of the classic variety, I can hand on heart assure you that they more than live up to expectations.
