About this deal

When I become involved in a story to the extent that I develop an intense dislike for th To stick with the fire metaphor, the book is something of a slow burn, but there are twists, turns and upsets a-plenty, not to mention heartaches, in the final third of the story.

I especially love the character of Lily, who started off an an overweight, plain, insecure woman but then developed into a formidable force in the legal world.Although this is a emotional read the two daughters Naomi and Leona bring a great sense of humour to the storyline which was welcoming and uplifting.

A somewhat preposterous fast-forward finds the characters 12 years older but no wiser: Lily and Ed have a son with Asperger’s; Carla is a knockout law student back from Italy; and Joe is still causing trouble from the sidelines. As twisty as little Carla’s glossy curls, which inspire Ed’s best work, this swiftly moving psychological thriller offers surprises right up to the finish. Over time Rosie starts to notice Phil is not himself, he is becoming more distant and aloof, not as friendly or willing to engage and laugh over the antics of the kids. She also makes countless guest appearances on BBC national and independent Radio stations including LBC, Times Radio and Talk FM, where she is well known for her insightful observations and her infectious humour. Rosie is an ordinary wife and mother, loves her home and does her best to provide happy and caring environment for everyone.Rosie, as warm and as homely as she may have been, is truly put through her paces by life in this book.

My Husband’s Wife is the latest book from Amanda Prowse in her collection of books labelled ‘No Greater Courage’.

Yes it happens in a way but the blurb suggests they were taken as soon as the revelation came to light. Naomi and Leona were fantastic throughout and they made the reader even more aware of what Rosie was experiencing, where as Phil just came across as selfish and a man who had only being dying to play away from home. Because when things go wrong they go from bad to worse – I’m welling up here even writing this because Rosie was REAL, I loved her, I wanted to be her friend and BOY did she need one.
