About this deal

Announced with the D700, the SB-900 didn't get as much mention or notice as the new camera, but as far as I'm concerned, it's the more significant announcement.

maybe if I just do Transmitter and receiver it would be fine, my problem was more on the flash units. Recently I also started using Godox gear, including the XProN trigger and X1R-N receiver, that provide full remote control and TTL capability with both Godox lights and my SB-910 and SB-700 Nikons. However, real-world shooting suggests you might want to consider opting for the Nikon flash, even at the extra cost! I’m cool with that, if it means I don’t have to lug around two separate tools when I’m actually shooting. Easy enough to understand, though still a bit clunky (the SB-800's settings are much more clunky in this respect, so Nikon made progress here).MPB Europe Ltd acts as a broker and offers credit solely from PayPal Credit, a trading name of PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH. If you are considering an SB5000 versus an SB910, both are Nikon flagship offerings, and flash output and recycle times are near equal to each other. For example, in Nikon SB-900 In the kit came a cover that is comfortable to wear on the belt, and when the flash is not used on the camera, quickly put the flash in the holster case. The reason the power of the SB-910 is useful to everyone who doesn't need it is that the SB-910 packs a big enough power inverter to recharge from a full-power blast in just two seconds, so at normal or even relatively high power levels, the SB-910 will always be ready to fire with no waiting.

Because obviously if they’ve only ever made that one choice, and they’re happy with it, they’ll speak highly of it! We still have the flip lock lever to secure the flash in the hot shoe, and the small diffuser and white reflector still pull out from the top of the head the same way. Nikon has provided updates for the SB-900 firmware, something previously not done with Speedlight units. I've seen several articles, but since the flash has been around for 10 years, not sure if those suggestions are still relevant. I suppose that's a good thing, but there's really no reason why a critical switch like this has to be made as small as possible on a flash that's grown in size.

Yeah, if you’re looking for a “for-dummies” level of fool-proof-ness, then it sounds like the SB910 may be your cup of tea. Considering that 10mm for DX and 14mm for FX is a kind of wide-angle chapel for Nikon lenses, you shouldn't want more.
