I am no language savant (a fact, sadly, not false modesty), but I am a linguistic enthusiast and, having sought out, and used, beginner level materials for Russian, Japanese, Italian, Greek and Amharic and having taken French (A level) and German (O level) at school/college (a long, long time ago :-D), I can say that this book is better at getting the learner up and running with usable language than any other book or online resource that I have found to date, by a country mile. One such resource that should be in every Spanish student’s library: Madrigal’s Magic Key to Spanish.

This is on the grounds that a lot of our conversations in daily life are about the past: what we did at the weekend, last week, last night or this morning, for example. Andy Warhol, a painter and graphic artist, also produced a significant body of film work, including his famous Chelsea Girls. This method gives you tools to learn a ton of new vocabulary right from the get-go with super easy to grasp techniques.

Andy Warhol was an accomplished advertising illustrator and graphic artist before he became well-known as a Pop artist and celebrity. With most others, I have found that there is far too much unnecessary grammar introduced far too early to engage the learner and provide opportunities to succeed in reproducing and reusing the language learnt. Develop perfect pronunciation, thanks to a handy pronunciation keyWith original black and white illustration by Andy Warhol, Madrigal's Magic Key to Spanish will provide readers with a solid foundation upon with to build their language skills. Cognates are words that have the same linguistic root, and often (but not always) have the same meaning. If it has got a downside it would be the layout, which is now dated (it was written in the early 1950's with Andy Warhol as the illustrator). And let's not forget that the vast majority of people will try hard to understand a foreigner that tries to use their language - and never underestimate the power of always using "please" and "thankyou" and, indeed, pointing and saying the appropriate numbers with a hopeful smile :-D … We even have significant differences British English: I was brought up in southern England and have worked in Sheffield recently and whilst I would “make a brew”, they will “mash”, I will feel “cold” but they will be “nesh”, something might be “dirty” but to them it will be “mardy” … Differences are easily overcome with very little effort and, really, should just add to our enjoyment of the vibrant nature of language. MARGARITA MADRIGAL WAS UNDOUBTEDLY ONE OF THE BEST LANGUAGE TEACHERS OF ALL TIME, AND HER BOOKS REMAIN POPULAR TO THIS DAY. If you are a beginner at Spanish, let me tell you right now you already know hundreds of words in Spanish. One reviewer has said that the book is too long but I would temper that view with the knowledge that the increase in volume is actually due to these many examples of usage and word/phrase combination drills.

J'aimerais tellement que plus de livres soit structuré de la même façon, cela permettrait aux autres d'apprendre plus rapidement et sans se décourager. It helped me get a solid foundation for Spanish early on, so I highly recommended this book if you’re new to Spanish. Completely eliminating rote memorization and painfully boring drills, Madrigal's Magic Key to Spanish is guaranteed to help you-.

Now the book says it’s “A Creative And Proven Approach,” and that’s because it truly is; the author was one of the best language teachers of her time. In fact, the learner is introduced to the singular forms of only the first person and third person for a good portion of the book. I’m the kind of learner that needs to know the why behind the action/words and this book is amazing when it comes to that. As with all language learning resources, the effort exerted by the learner is the actual key to learning a foreign language to whatever level the learner feels that they want to achieve, but Madrigals Magic Keys To Spanish is an excellent starting point and gives a great deal of potential for quickly usable language from which the learner can then spring and delve into other resources and learning opportunities.

The author, Margarita Madrigal, knew this and decided to use this as an important element to help get you to speak Spanish quickly. The book also does an excellent job of helping you understand how Spanish works when it comes to verb conjugation. When you are new to Spanish, this is a super important concept as it makes everything that comes later on so much easier. DOUBLE ONLY L, R All other letters, such as “ss, pp, mm, nn, tt, ff” (except “1,” “r”), which are doubled in English, become single letters in Spanish. When you understand that verbs change according to who you’re talking about, everything begins to fall into place.

He was equally well known in the late sixties and early seventies as resident host at his studio, The Factory, where one could listen to Lou Reed and the Velvet Underground and rub elbows with Edie Sedgwick. You should focus on the past and the future tense because that’s what you use most of the time when you’re talking to somebody.
