This left a bad taste in my mouth and even though being 19 makes you a legal adult this felt grimy and like the author was trying to hyper-infantilize Persephone. After a compromise is reached she is allowed to venture out and be part of society as long as she is watched cared for and lives with another goddess. This volume wasn't as painful as the first volume regarding Persephone's SA experience, but it did still reflect back on that in some ways, and my heart hurts for her every time it comes up.

I for one don't think they understand the underlying thoughts and feeling,s and how the story should be relayed, and are using their bias to tell their version of events. She dreams of more and wants to experience the worlds but her mother keeps her away from all men and as such Persephone is depressed.
