First impressions were good, it came in a thick mesh carry bag which looks man enough to take some abuse. The build quality of the stove itself is certainly of a high standard, nor burrs, sharp edges or dodgy welds. Nonetheless, the Lixada Titanium Folding Wood Stove remains an excellent choice for those seeking a lightweight and environmentally friendly cooking solution.

It will boil enough water to make a brew in a 58 pattern mug in 3 minutes and doesn’t burn so hot that food gets incinerated. Make full use of the unlimited fuel collected from your hike, such as twigs, branches, paper, and leaves.ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY: No fuel canisters, no chemical emissions, no batteries required, less carbon footprint. That’s good in some respects because the fire maintains a good supply of air from below, but I think that they’re perhaps a little too big. STURDY STRUCTURE: Strong stainless steel construction creates a stable platform for your cookware, very durable. It works even better if the longer sticks are actually pointing slightly downwards into the stove - so try to find a stone that is slightly taller than the bottom lip of the front hole of the stove. To get around this, I fashioned supports from coat hangers (you can see them in the pictures) and then went on to develop a ‘grill’ plate that I can put on the top so that I can barbeque fish/meat directly over the flame.

After lighting (and once the twigs are burning well) place three or four long (>30cm) pieces of wood through the hole at the front, directly on top of the smaller pieces of wood.
