I’ve never owned a mega-sized dragon before so this is a nice novelty beast to add to my collection. My husband and I both enjoyed Legos as children and decided to start collecting and building as adults. Alternatively, you could also place a chair and steering wheel there for fun, but that wouldn’t fit the context of Castles really well. People often compare this theme to Kingdoms, and to illustrate my point, I shall do so as well by comparing it to 7947 Prison Tower Rescue, the Kingdoms set that involved two good guys trying to rescue a princess from two bad guys in their evil tower.My son has lots of legos experience and neede much more help than normal for a 6-12, this is best for an experienced 7 yr old builder or novice 8 yr old. If you’re just interested in getting Castle parts and are more keen on the whole good knights vs bad knights thing, you’d be better of waiting and doubling your budget and splashing out on the King’s Castle itself.

With some of the older castle themes, the solid brighter color looked good with the simple print in one or two colors. His robe looks all evil and metal, with his big freaking dragon necklace, evil potions, and skeleton of some little creature. The Lion Knight looks pretty impressive, with a visor-ed helmet, armour and shield bearing the Lion insignia. It was an interesting build and I enjoyed putting the catapult and structure together but I just can’t shake the feeling that it would’ve been an amazing set if the Mountain part of Dragon Mountain were bigger. Take the money you would have spent on this set and go use it on The Gatehouse Raid and Forest Ambush instead, or if you want a good evil tower, go Bricklink 7947.

I purchased this set for my 7 year old son, ok I got the entire set for him for Christmas, however this set is missing then entire dragon bag. Treasure chest containing four coins and a gold bar attached to two dark tan 2x2 jumper plates out front. an older faction and hence stole some of that previous factions Identity (one view by Ardelon a Eurobricks member is that Majisto recruited his force from the Black Knights, who simply repainted their old shields, which I like to think could be true). There are some nice parts and it is nice to see a furnished castle set, but the design is very disappointing. Building Techniques: How much skill do you think the creator of this MOC has, in terms of building technique?
