About this deal

I tried on while working and I learned that this fragrance works best in working and stressful areas. As someone with a very sensitive nose, I'm always doing my best to be considerate to others who may be similar to me - and a fragrance like this that doesn't project outside of 2-3 feet is perfect. It's not my favorite scent anymore but it's still worth owning, it's a pity if the new batches of it are as weak as everyone seems to say it is.

May I also add that this is perfect for those lonely gals out there that need to feel something - please spray with moderation on to the nearest pillow and inhale with gusto. I do wish this had a little more power to it but I understand that this is a skin scent for intimate scenarios. I have a shaving soap and aftershave balm which smells exactly like La Nuit, it's inspired by it and I love using that also.I think this confusion stems from the name: it says La Nuit De L'Homme, so it *must* be a nighttime fragrance, right? The projection is great for the first hour and even less, but it lasts for maybe 2 hours until it eventually becomes more of a skin scent. Dominique Ropion is a very talented perfumer but I get the feeling that every time a big hitter comes on the selves what has preceded is a conversation of the sort “throw a few pleasant aromachemicals, make it a tad sweet, polish the angles to the point of dullness and let’s throw it in the market to see what happens”. One of my favorite things about this one is that it doesn't project too hard or leave much of a sillage. I do believe it was an older batch, so I cannot compare it to the new batches, but when I used his, it had really good longevity, lasting around 9 hours on me and days on my coat.

like i said, the best from the line are the original(even in the last formula) and the frozen cologne(sadly out of production). No this isn't a more potent version of La nuit, It's a completely different fragrance and superior to the OG la nuit, in my opinion.so my question is , is it worth waiting on this version or is the intense version as good as it gets these days ? In fact if it wasn't for the claims of the new batches being super weak, I would purchase this bottle just to give it to my partner to wear because it smells so darn good. Yeah bleu electric smells a tad better, but blue electric is so weak, I bought a bottle of this and blue electric today, tested them and blue electric is so faint after 5mins and sits really close to the skin and in 30mins is a skin scent and gone after an hour and a half, really disappointed with that one.

This smells amazing and similar to Bleu Électrique flanker, but imo this smells better because Bleu Électrique has quite a spicy note which I don't like. generic smell and different from the original which ysl keeps on watering down but all in all is still the best. Sillage is pretty decent, not a beast but its slightly above average, a bit more smokey and darker than the original edt (almost dior homme parfum vibes to my unprofessional nose, much more mass appealing though). With the 2023 bottle I have, L'Oreal replaced those notes that puts La Nuit de l'Homme on top of the fragrance world and instead made it soft, floral, soapy and with a touch of powder. However, none of the kids was nearly as handsome and sweet as the first one, and all they smelled pretty ugly.

I have only gotten unsolicited compliments from random women on the street from this one (and Blue Electrique - which is 90% the same). A slightly sharp, but also clean vetiver that melds with the cedar and lavender with the cardamom carrying through the whole composition.

So it is very safe to say that reformulations have ruined the performance of this once beastly fragrance. I think I would say that is about right - on a cold night (when this is perfect) maybe add one to the wrists. As it dries down and the citrus subsides a bit, the fruity notes combined with the benzoin give this a resinous feel, like dried berries, along with the deep tobacco and incense accords.
