I was weary about the black out but its actually got a good zip on the side which is dark when closed.
We have been on the look out for a travel cot that is compact enough to travel with, fits in our campervan easily and that our baby boy won’t grow out of too quickly – and I think we have found it! I felt mega excited to find it, pondered a bit and then I bought one as there really did not seem to be anything better on the market. A carpeted surface would be advised for your baby’s comfort, as well as that of your knees, as the mattress isn’t particularly thick.
Mattress may be covered in a choice of pvc, tricot mesh, corovin (polyester) or any combination of these fabrics. If I didn't have the problem above I'd probably give it 5 stars for what it is - a lightweight, temporary travel bassinet. Overall: When we went to Bali, the resort we were staying in wasn’t very baby friendly and hence didn’t have a travel cot.
We did not purchase the blow up mattress as got it last minute but was fine without it, was still soft enough for baby.
