First things first, we had to prise Juin Tech's R1 brakes out of their attractive lime-green packaging and fit them onto the bike. We have tested the R1 brakes in the 3 Peaks Cyclocross race, outstanding braking performance and stopping power. As the brake pads wear out over time, the caliper will need occasional adjustment to bring the pads in closer to the rotor. only issue I have with them on initial install the pistons are pushing the pads to the disc rotor and its constantly rubbing when aligned, may have to break them in but the pistons are very tight even after adjusting the hand adjuster. In the nice green box you get the two calipers, a pair of 160mm discs, pair of adapter mounts and the mounting bolts for everything.
