I've got a Jetboil but find that, for backpacking, I preferentially use an alcohol stove so I've been looking for an alternative use for the stove. It very much matters what fuel blend you are using, the temperature of the fuel more so than the air temperature, what elevation you are at, and whether or not you have a regulator valve or are running in inverted mode.

I am considering if using a single, thick copper wire, with one end coiled over the Brunton Stove Stand's fuel inlet tube works just as well in vaporizing the fuel when the gas canister is inverted. A big Jetboil mug full of steaming hot Broccoli/Cheese soup really hits the spot and warms you up out there on the water in the cold early Spring.
