About this deal

With a fantasy show like this I like to read the subs because it's quicker to pick up the character names and follow the storyline better. On "The Rings of Power" especially — with its two dozen characters and locations, and expansive mythology — it's helped me be more invested in the series. Netflix's "Stranger Things" took its subtitles to the next level with season four, with descriptions like "tentacles squelching wetly" that sparked social-media conversation.

Subtitles can also be helpful if your TV doesn't have the best sound quality (although there are ways to adjust that). It is astonishing that they wouldn't do everything in their power to try and meet this minimum expectation with a show of this magnitude. We had now tv about two years ago and could not get subtitles, so we gave up and cancelled our subscription telling now tv why, it seems they do not listen to their feedback as, we thought we would try again and so we subscribed again a couple of weeks ago and lo and behold STILL NO SUBTITLES! House of the Dragon" and "The Rings of Power" are some of the best-looking shows on TV, and the subtitles can distract from the beautiful imagery.Without subtitles, it might be difficult to keep track of Aegon and Aemond, and Rhaenyra, Rhaena, and Rhaenys on "House of the Dragon. There is still a bug, 15 months and counting, to my knowledge, where the setting on the Stick for subtitles wherever possible won’t stay On. And so for each programme, you need to Pause it, move to the little speech bubble icon if it is there, and turn the subtitles On. Does anyone know where I can find just these sections online of just the subtitles so I can read along on my phone while watching on the telly?

For the aforementioned fantasy shows, it's almost impossible to not watch them without subtitles, and props to anyone who can.It seems to get confused and record or download those and then not download the next episode in UHD, but I did manage to find the rest of the UHD ones . If you want to be fully immersed, one can argue subtitles are just as bad as Googling a character name during a show or movie. Same issue for me, almost 1 week after the episode aired and still no subtitles leaving me unable to watch this programme.

I’m no technophobe but it’s impossible to get subtitles on an LG TV even though the subtitle logo is displayed. An internal succession war within House Targaryen at the height of its power, 172 years before the birth of Daenerys Targaryen. I doubt it though, their lack of compassion for the deaf and hard of hearing community is shameful, to say the least.Sure, you might notice something new with subtitles, like a prominent sigh, or a quiet sound or whisper. Your shows advertised with “S” symbol for subtitles but no subtitles are showing for shows such as, special victims unit, Criminal minds. Subtitles can also get ahead of the audio, so you'll be reading the dialogue before it's said (this is especially annoying when watching a stand-up comedy special and the punch line is ruined).
