About this deal

I've had a deWalt DCN692 (the better two speed model) for about 4-1/2 years and been very happy with it, other than the weight, which makes it tiring to use for extended periods when working above the head (e. This HiKOKI gas nailer is the successor to the Hitachi NR90GC2 Nailgun and features a high visibility magazine and easy access fuel cell chamber.

g. if you book a rental for on Monday evening for Wednesday morning), then this cooling-off period does not apply. loaded the right nails in, and fuel cell, pushed pin all the way up, and have been having problems firing nails already. When I do that there's a bar that lowers and then the tip will depress by a cm or so and the gun will fire. The ability to deliver up to 1200 nails for each fuel cell charge is a real plus and the nailer is easy to clean when finished.I've just had another look, to check if something is stopping the top depressing as you have suggested and it's something to do with the mechanism that stops the nails falling out the magazine. The Hitachi NR90GC2/J8 Cordless Clipped Head Framing Nailer is at the forefront of cordless nailer technology and as such incorporates many features unmatched by its rivals. The former can nail up to an impressive 1650 brads per charge, showing the benefits of a well-made cordless machine, especially given the other benefits that come with it. The HiKOKI (formerly known as Hitachi) NR90GC2/J8 cordless gas nail gun is a fantastic alternative to the Paslode IM350 nailgun.

A better alternative, at least to my mind for less intense use, are the cordless guns from DW and Hitachi. it has fired 1 nail properly, and a few others that barely penetrated the wood and gave a very hard kick back.In 10 plus years I've needed 4 replacement batteries, one charger and an igniter board ( under warranty). Safety features like the dry firing lockout and soft, non-slip rubber grip add to its appeal while the fold-away hook can be looped over joints for convenience. Also features tool free adjustment of drive depth, a lock switch and 30 minute automatic shutdown for increased safety and longer battery life.

Other features include a fold away hook that fits over joists for greater convenience, a lightweight, well balanced design, longer trigger stroke for safer use and a non-slip soft rubber grip. Some reviews say the battery is awkward but I don't really have a problem, yes the pasalode is an easier battery load but that's about it! The box is decent too, with a fair bit of spare room and not a stupid blow moulded case like cheap tools/all older tools came with.

TBH I don't like gas nailers, but I recognise that they are lighter than cordless (battery only) 1st fix guns making them less tiring to use when working above my head. Thanks for responding so quickly, I've removed the motor and connected directly to the battery and it runs.Fat Llama is a peer-to-peer rental platform — we connect people who need stuff with people who have stuff. Clipped head or 'D' head professional power tools like this allow nails to be grouped in clusters for added strength. design is the ideal companion for repetitive use on jobs such as trim work, panelling, baseboards, moulding, cabinetry and much more. I have a Hitachi NR90GC2 nailer that doesn't get used a lot, probably less than 5000 nails in total but it's now stopped working.
