The SC LIVE 4 can also be used as a dedicated DJ software controller for Serato DJ Pro and is compatible with Virtual DJ. But the units have all the track skip, beat jump, censor, auto/manual looping, full colour pads and in-jog displays you’d expect on a decently featured DJ system. Since the unit can control four decks (the "decks" have "layer" buttons that let you choose between decks 1 and 3 on the left deck and decks 2 and 4 on the right deck), it can get a little crowded.

By the way, if you’re new to this type of kit and wonder what I mean when I keep mentioning “Engine DJ”, it is the software that powers the unit internally.
The SC Live 2 is therefore better equipped, especially in terms of connections, offers twice as many performance pads, LCD displays on the jog wheels and of course 2 more channels. jack input for the microphones, the aforementioned RCA aux input (Live 4), both RCA and balanced XLR main outputs, jack boot outputs (Live 4), a USB jack, and two USB and one SD card slot.The SC LIVE 4 has a set of speakers built into the unit, with their own volume controls, a 7-inch multi-gesture touchscreen, three media slots, and 6-inch high-resolution touch-sensitive jog wheels. The majority of decisions are given instantly, so you could get your new gear sooner than you thought! Engine systems have by far the best touchscreen implementation on the current crop of DJ gear, from all manufacturers. Also new on this DJ controller are the onboard mixer effects giving you more scope to bring your mixes to life.
The mixer is a club layout, more like the Denon DJ X1850 (and of course all Pioneer DJ gear) than the Prime 4 with its traditional “controller”-style layout. I always thought of Denon DJ as being a “pro” brand, and in particular, a brand mobile/event/wedding DJs naturally gravitated towards. The SC Live 4 definitely has more in common with the Pioneer XDJ standalones than, say, the Prime 4 does, because of its club-like layout. The controller has built-in speakers that offer the perfect sound solution for livestreaming, practicing, content creation, and personal monitoring during live shows. Playlists can even be created spontaneously, even if you cannot currently save them in the main library.The in built speakers are awesome also, not sure how they got that much bass from them but I dig it! The controller has 8 performance pads on each deck that can be used to control Hot Cue, Auto Loop, Manual Loop, Roll, Slicer, and Slicer Loop modes. The Denon DJ SC LIVE 4 is a 4-deck standalone DJ controller with a 7” touchscreen, built-in speakers, and Wi-Fi connectivity. In addition, the DJ controller is a standalone four-deck system that is powerful, compact, and easy to use, giving the users complete control over their creative expression during live performances.
