About this deal

You can find notes on spirits, advice on mixing drinks, and profiles of well-known bartenders among the entries. A cocktail recipe that suggests jelly bean sweets as an accompaniment has got to be a winner, surely.

This recipe book of liquid delights has been delicious fun to create and is a sumptuous collection of Olly’s top 200 drinks with tips and tricks on how to make them taste like magic. You really do wonder whether Olly wrote a more comprehensive, true Bible of a book which then got whittled down to this end product. It’s worth noting that in about a third of cases Olly offers alternatives, such as swapping vodka in for gin in a Gimlet, or serving a Mexican Firing Squad in a tall glass with soda for a longer drink.

No missing or damaged pages, no creases or tears, no underlining or highlighting of text, and no writing in the margins. Saying that, we did use the book’s positives and flaws to lead us to a recipe we wouldn’t have found without a thorough read through, the Jelly Bean, and to make a variation on the French 75 by trawling options for a recipe that included cider (another ingredient that slipped through the unhelpful Index’s net). Beautifully illustrated with mouthwatering photography, this book includes long and short drinks, still and sparkling, fruity and refreshing, as well as creamy and indulgent – you’ll never tire of trying new concoctions.

This excludes light bulbs and lamps which are excluded/not covered due to potential damage during transit. Here are 200 recipes from the rich flavour of an ABC Cocktail, through to the complicated but delicious sweet and spice mix of a Zombie. With over 200 recipes, Home Cocktail Bible tells you everything you need to know - from the essential spirits, mixers, syrups and kit that will open up the world of cocktails, to every recipe you could possibly ever want. Beyond its new books, Pyramid is known for its titles drawn from the extensive Octopus archive and its custom publishing expertise. The flavours were well balanced, producing a sipping cocktail the equal of or better than most we’d had made for us.
