Despite what you might think, Champagne Cognac is not made from Champagne, in the region of Champagne, nor from the grapes used to make Champagne. On the nose you’ll meet a bright and enticing bouquet of vanilla, dried rose petals, white grape and ripe apricot, with an undercurrent of sweet berries and a hint of custard, underpinned with cognac’s unmistakable smoky oak aromas. Cognac is made in the Charentes region of southwest France, mainly from the white grape Ugni Blanc, and is distilled twice in a traditional Charentais pot still.The Fine Champagne cognac's plant material is mostly the Ugni Blanc vine; the cognac designation decree also includes the Folle Blanche and Colombard vines.
