Anyways, it opens up just like Vanilla Woods by the 7 virtues which I love and then it becomes a hybrid of Vanilla Woods meets Cruz del Sur II. The fragrance has strong caramel notes which might not be pleasant to those who prefer more ‘masculine’ scents. Casablanca has the same fruitiness as Shaghaf Women to my nose, but with added sweetness, as if you layered Shaghaf with Kayali Vanilla. Given time, the city unravels itself, revealing the most amazing corners, a vibrant kaleidoscope of Moroccan life found nowhere else. Could also fit any other city, as it is a sweet fragrance without reference to the capital of Morocco.
What saves this from being very masculine on me is the slight sweet patchouli which saves the pine from completely dominating. At first spray, I had mixed thoughts as I thought it had a very heavy alcohol smell, but that almost immediately dissipated the moment it dried.A special fragrance for the most ambitious and strong man, giving him the attributes of a brave and confident knight,Abdul Samad Al Qurashi. The caramel and suede notes absolutely come out the longer I wear it, with the apple and musk coming out as well. Best for cooler weather but you could get away with it in warmer weather (particularly summer nights).
About what time of year to wear it, these types of perfumes are created in really warm countries, so it must also be a cultural thing stating they will be "too much" in warmer weather. Top notes are Apple and Grapes; middle notes are White Woods, Patchouli and Iris; base notes are Caramel, Amber, Suede, Musk and Peru Balsam. From all the reviews I watched, I was expecting a juicy sweet apple drenched in caramel, but what I got was a crisp, slightly sweet, sparkling wine like prosecco or champagne. but could be sweetened up with something else; maybe Vanilla 28, Hundred Silent Ways, or Cheriosa 62 or 71 (not sure which, I haven't tried yet, but they both have caramel).Oriental notes like amber, woods and I would swear there's also a spiced rose in here makeup the background, I think this is more of an extremely sweet gourmand-leaning Oriental than a straight-up gourmand imo, it has a lot of complexity. When I first sprayed it, I was around several other folks, and people on the other side of the room were absolutely able to smell it so the sillage seems quite powerful, but mellows out over time. I really smell the juicy green apple in the opening no other fruits it’s sweet as if caramel is drizzled over it sitting in a wood bowl with a smell of suede and musk in the background. Then, at some point, my fragrance journey began, and in the meantime I don't see it that closely anymore.
