Please allow 30 minutes or so before checking the temperature as you don’t want the heat from the steam to give you an inaccurate reading. Concerning none the least as I bought this to monitor my infants temperature, and to be honest not convinced that the reading were as stated. It provides ultimate flexibility for the whole family, where some may prefer a reading taken from ear over forehead or vice versa, and measures room temperature far more accurately than baby monitors, which is an important part of reducing cot death.

As the inventor of these products, it troubles me that, due to a lack of consistency in product and communication, we have disappointed you. FWIW, we left the thermometer on in DS's room last night and it did appear to be matching our other room thermometer. It's amazing technology, to be able to just point it without contact on my children's forehead and get an accurate reading is just incredible. I have also complained to brother max around 1-2 years ago when I experienced problems with the food storage/freezer tubs and never had a reply back.
