The midrange of the SpinFit tips does sway towards the leaner side of the spectrum with more defined transients. Compared to some of the better foam tips (True Fidelity & Campfire Audio’s Marshmallows), the SpinFit’s silicones are more neutral-orientated at the expense of the more rounded and softer impact that the former tips render. Treble The peculiarity of the CP100 is that they are tall (9.9 mm), but they are actually quite wider at 13.3 mm. This means that they won’t need to go very deep to seal off your ear canal and therefore will also be fine for earphones with short nozzles. Thanks to this good seal, bass is well extended and controlled, while the rest of the range comes out as well balanced and with no particular colouration and the same sensation of good control as in the lower area. As a whole, the sound is mostly unaltered and this also includes the “bad” side of this, as the tips won’t reduce peaks e.g. in the treble area. The CP100 has a 4mm opening and is the all-around, works with just about anything tip. It’s small enough to work with IEMs with smaller nozzles, like those on 64 Audio’s line of IEMs, but still big enough to stretch onto Noble or Empire Ears wider nozzles. The challenge is that with bigger models, you’ll generally want a little more room to work with, rather than having to fight to get the tips on and off, and potentially damage them. Eartips are a very personal thing. There is no good or bad in most cases, there is good fit and lesser fit, which depends on both the devices they are mounted on and the listeners’ ear canals. These variables create a large number of possibilities and uncertainties so that no eartip is fitting universally. These variables are: I did a comparison on the Sennheiser IE300 with the CP100+ and CP360. My ears detected the following characteristics:
The CP100 provides an easy fit on an IEM with smaller to medium sized nozzle like 64 Audio’s Universal fit offerings. CP145SpinFit is one of a small group of people making silicon ear tips. I think silicon works best as it allows for a more durable tip. They still fit in securely and create a good seal. While Comply Tips will wear down over time, SpinFit tips just keep going. They do balance out even harmonic signatures providing some better contrasting and odd harmonic flavor. However, quite remarkably, the SpinFit tips do not exacerbate sibilance or compressed sounds at the top-end – this is a big strength especially as it able to portray micro-details without enhancing perceived clarity. Everything else is the same as on “normal” silicone eartips, which is also why the SpinFit tips are so great: you get all the pros (good isolation, washability and basically eternal durability, wide compatibility) with none of the cons.
Accidents, abuse, misuse, improper installation, problems with electrical power, acts of third parties. The SpinFit CP100+ (or CP100 Plus) are the exact same as the CP100 in terms of size, but they are made with a different material. They keep the same diameter of 4 mm and the same variety of sizes (SS, S, M, L, XL), but they are made of medical-grade silicone and feature more subdued colours and a more transparent dome.Note that it is best to confer with SpinFit for specific recommendations for a particular model type as this list by no means encompasses all the brands out there. Model CP360 and CP1025 are designed for TWS earphones. CP360 is designed to provide a deeper fit, while CP1025 is more shallow. While both will fit on most TWS earphones, some charging cases may not be compatible with the CP360. CP1025 is also available with adapters for Apple AirPods Pro and Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro. SpinFit tips offers a crisper and well-defined higher frequency range with plenty of detailing and articulacy. Compared to MandarinE’s Symbio W hybrid tips, the SpinFit offers extended highs without the harshness and sizzle that the former tips can bring forth. This can also be seen when the SpinFit tips are compared to the Shure Olives tips – there is a good level of restraint without hiding any micro-details or imagery.
It’s not only a matter of comfort: the CP145 prove to be great at passive isolation as well. As they seal off the ear canal quite well, the side effect is also that there is an almost-perfect level of isolation. Although the overall isolation is of course dependent on the earphones as well, these eartips make a real difference and shut most of the noise out. SpinFit CP155 Comfort levels are similar although the new material is said to be even more friendly for those with susceptibility to allergies. Overall, the CP100+ offers some welcomed improvements to the already stellar CP100 and provides even more choice for the IEM enthusiast. Comparisons These eartips are meant for true wireless earpieces. If you find SpinFit CP-350 too short, this one fits between regular CP-145 and CP-350. Bass and low-mids are stronger than CP-350. Vocal is forward with good clarity.
The CP240 has a wide bore and fits comfortably on larger nozzles, but it also comes with a selection of adapters that allow it to fit snugly on smaller nozzles as well. CP360 and CP1025While the SpinFit silicone tips do not provide the most bass impact or authority, they offer a higher level of refinement compared to the Symbio W, Shure Olive & Final Audio E-tips. The Symbio W hybrid tips offer the most contrast here with a more impactful bass and energetic treble. However, the SpinFit tips really master the treble with detail and control that the other silicone tips do not possess. Foam tips such as True Fidelity & Campfire Audio’s Marshmallow provide a more fatigue-free listen in general but at the expense of utmost clarity and transparency. Conclusion The big difference in most of the models is the size of the bore for the IEM nozzle. Generally you want a tip that’s easy to get on, but not TOO easy to make sure that you have a tight secure fit. The more secure the fit, the better your isolation will be, but if you go with something that’s too snug you’ll risk damaging the eartips when you take them on or off. Quality of the bass from SpinFit tips is quite impressive with well-defined notes and good texturing across the upper bass and lower mid transition. Granted, it does not have as much weight behind it as True Fidelity foam tips or Symbio W hybrid tips. However, it pairs well with already capable in-ear monitors with bass which is tauter and more disciplined. Midrange
