About this deal

Some recipes substituted a vermouth from Dolin [ fr] instead of Noilly Prat for making martinis, [3] which is said to be "every bit as good as, although not by any means identical to, the old Noilly". This unique process is mainly based on the ageing in oak casks, in the open air, of white wines, exclusively "Blanc de Blancs". It was to mimic this natural process that Joseph Noilly, in 1813, designed a process that made France's first vermouth. To taste the dry white wine emerges, with a complex yet delicate bitter finish laced with a touch of spice. Noilly Prat is made exclusively from white grape varieties grown in the Marseillan area, principally Picpoul de Pinet and Clairette.

The blend is transferred to large casks and a secret blend of 20 botanicals (including Roman chamomile, yellow gentian, nutmeg, and bitter orange) is added by hand each day in a gentle maceration lasting 3 weeks, after filtration, the wines rest for 6+ weeks before bottling. Our transit boxes are designed to withstand most things, but wine does however sometimes break in transit. Noilly Prat is widely used in cooking, and extensively used for sauces, especially to accompany fish. It is the perfect blend of dry white wine and aromatic herbs, giving it a deliciously complex taste that really makes any drink incredible. These cookies are needed for essential functions such as signing in, storing products in your trolley and making payments.

The dry, full-bodied wines are then infused with the aromatic blend of 20 herbs and spices macerated directly in the wine for three weeks. Noilly Prat is produced in Marseillan, in the South of France, by the same methods since it was first created in 1813 by Louis Noilly. An aromatic blend of 20 different herbs and spices sourced from all over the world are used to gently infuse the wines. While we have taken care in preparing this summary and believe it is accurate, it is not a substitute for your reading the product packaging and label prior to use.The wine stays in these casks for 8 months, maturing and absorbing the flavour of the wood, before being transferred to smaller oak barrels which are taken outside and left for a year. At its home in the South of France, a selection of fine white wines are aged outdoors in oak casks exposed to the Mediterranean sun, sea and wind for 12 months.
