About this deal

The display of third-party trademarks and trade names on this site does not necessarily indicate any affiliation or the endorsement of PCMag. When enabled, Logitech says the battery life rises to a full nine months but the response time rises from 1ms to 8ms; in other words, an increase in latency is one of the trade-offs for conserving battery life. The buttons are slightly lighter than the average gaming mouse, with a quick snappy feel to their action. The MX Master 2S is an office mouse, with a thumb rest and a side horizontal scroll wheel to help navigate big documents and spreadsheets.

The Logitech G305 LIGHTSPEED is a better overall mouse than the Logitech M510 when it comes to performance, but its low-profile design and egg-shaped body may not be for everyone working in an office. Extended Battery Life: The G305 wireless Logitech mouse boasts an impressive 250 hours of continuous gameplay on a single AA battery, allowing you to play at your best without worrying about battery depletion. It has a much wider CPI range, and its small frame is suitable for most hand sizes, though people with larger hands may have a tough time getting a comfortable palm grip. The Razer Mamba, a pricier, Editors' Choice-winning wireless competitor to the G305 Lightspeed, on the other hand, weighs a comparatively "whopping" 4. The lack of a wired connection may be inconvenient for some, but this mouse really doesn’t need one, and it saves some cost on the product too.

Portable Convenience: The durable, compact design with built-in USB receiver storage makes the G305 means you can take it with you. However, considering that most players won’t really know the difference between 8,000 DPI and 20,000K DPI, this isn’t a biggie. Our experienced team tested and refined each component, focusing on the slowest link, until nothing was slow. The Logitech is much lighter and has an ambidextrous, egg-shaped body with two side buttons on the left.

It’s long lasting with 250 gaming hours from one AA battery, with an indicator light reminding you before the battery runs out. It's no secret that PC gaming is expensive, especially once you start getting into peripherals and accessories.

Lastly, while both mice use the same software, the LIGHTSPEED has onboard memory for custom settings. The Logitech G305 LIGHTSPEED is a better wireless gaming mouse than the Logitech MX Anywhere 2S, but the Anywhere 2S is designed for office work and travel. Given that it would take years to suss out that claim, we'll have to take Logitech's word, but the fact that the G603 is rated for such longer endurance tells us that a lesser-source switch was used in the G305 Lightspeed. But this is more me being nitpicky and not adjusting yet than having any fault with the switch mechanism itself. But whether filling out paperwork or gaming, the G305 Lightspeed can quickly adapt with you to get the job done.
