H-shifter works in all games supporting it, even in Dirt 3, and in Dirt Rally there is no possibility of the choice of h-shifter. I don`t think that shifter is too big as i had more space issues (if i had any) with original G27 shifter. The new helical gear system makes less noise and eliminates steering noise in this incarnation of the steering wheel. It’s really surprising though, that these issues haven’t been properly fixed on windows or logitech’s side, knowing how wide-spread the problems is. I got my new DB9 socket and enclosure (might be a bit big to fit in the wheel) from JayCar and I'm ready to solder it. so I was thinking of another mod, my current g25 is now working again after tightening the two bolts within the shifter, but now I want to do another mod.I hooked it up to my pc to test it out but I could not find a driver for a G25 and since the computer registers it as a G27 since that is the only driver I could find, it doesn't recognize sequential mode so therefore I could not test it that way. But I posted this over on Logitech's forums as well and a guy responded he had the exact same problem. Using a USB interface, it's based on the previous version, the G25, with new features like new helical gearing as opposed to the straight gears used in previous incarnations.

EDIT: I reversed the shifting in the menu making sequential back (down gear) and forward for (up gear) when I press forward it won't shift past 1st, if I paddle shift to a higher gear and then pull back to downshift it goes to first.
