The Superstition had that light peatiness, which formed a painters palate, against which all the sweet notes could contrast. Nose: Sharp orange peels, dark berries, brown sugar, light earthiness and a trip in the forest in the Autumn, peat. The nose has notes of fig cookies, heather, dried flowers, lemon zest, vanilla, and a slight hint of brininess. I do believe the distillery has become somewhat of an undeserved black sheep among online whisky reviewers. Tasting Notes "Notes of crisp red apple from the start, but also touches of cinnamon, cardboard and licorice. Taste: Slightly funky and musty with a touch of cinnamon and roasted peanuts, as well as damp oak and a very gentle smokiness, followed by a whisper of mint and coffee grounds.
