About this deal

The switch is used to tell the ECU when the gear selector is in park - if it gets stuck everything will still work but a code will be logged and PRNDS will flash. The car will start shutting down systems in an event to conserve the battery and most of those are critical ones. Yeah those trim tools do come in handy as I didn't have any finger nails to open it with I try to keep mime clean but you know how this weather I'd lol nearly blew me away today.

That is the Cold Solder joints on the mounting studs… repaired about 4 of them (Golf, and 3 cabbies).Depending on which controller is fitted to your vehicle, a flashing glow plug lamp indicates an open circuit plug. Thanks for the responses - in laymans terms (to a heating engineer with no clue about motor mechanics) what does a turbo overboost translate as? Those who have encountered this issue are being encouraged to come forward and report their experience on the forums.

After that everything has been fine with no glitches or anything, except it ran like shit for 20 minutes after that happened. Also, though requiring a BIT more elbow grease on your part, I’ve seen guys take the edge of a leather belt and rub the flashing off.
