About this deal

So to calculate a velocity at the muzzle, it's got to take the velocity at x yards and use a calculation to figure out what it would have been doing at the muzzle. On first opening, it takes you through a quick-start guide and prompts you to register the device for warranty and upgrade access. The radar does not calculate what the pellet is doing at the muzzle as, unless there is some way of telling it where the muzzle is, it does not know where it is. You still need to use the existing Chronograph barrel mount that comes with your Chronograph and elastic bands. I don't think they are perfect, but I think they are a good balance of accuracy/cost/portability and all the features you get from having a Bluetooth devise connecting to your phone.

Ultrastu, surely if it measures velocity when the pellet is at 1 metre from muzzle , the device could be factory calibrated to the true speed at the muzzle.

This FX Panthera / Dynamic double airkit enables you to attach a second compressed air reservoir to your FX Panthera or FX Dynamic air gun. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. I dont feel the FX quiet has this nailed yet and if I bought doppler, it would be labradar as I shoot powder too.

It's placed directly under the barrel with an attachment not dissimilar to the way a combro does with a couple of elastic bands. Yes, no sensitivity settings needed as it seamlessly reads any projectile between 400 to 4000 fps without pressing any button. This replaces my older Mk2 chronograph and I was immediately surprised at just how compact it is (1/2 the size of the old unit? But that cone would be so narrow that the FX Chrono would need to be almost like a scope as far as mounting on the gun to line up with the pellet's path. I have watched a few videos and about 2 inch from the end seems about what most people prefer so i stick with that. After I downloaded the app (FX radar) and paired it with my iphone 11, I tried to shoot some shots off my FX impact MK2 but the app didn't show any reading or sound. So add on varied pellet weights and the 40fps mentioned in first post would be right for this device. FX Vs Combro for accuracy, remember - who is to say which is actually correct, but both can be adjusted, so it's the tracking that is important, not the actual result for this comparison.

Only way you can get the FX to work close enough is to shoot over a known chrono at 1m from muzzle then adjust the position of the FX radar until it's the same readings take a measurement so you can repeat each time. It makes a mockery if you move it and it alters the reading because you have no way of knowing which is the optimum position and which reading to believe. The barrel would move a little, but because of its (small) mass the Combro would stay nominally still, and time the pellet's movement irrespective of recoil of the barrel. Capable of recording velocities from 400-4000FPS it has applications for both Airguns and full bore rifles alike.Does anyone know how the police check the ft lb in the field if you are stopped and questioned about the power of your rifle? Has anyone noticed an issue with the FX Radar that doesn't pick up the pellet travel speed when shooting in the summer sun and the black box gets hot? Since the FX Pocket Chronograph v2 uses radar technology, it will work in any weather conditions, even complete darkness.
