About this deal

We take huge care and pride in every step of the process, from developing our recipes to designing our labels and packaging. Other spices: While the combination of basil, oregano, rosemary, and thyme is often used in Italian restaurants, you can also use other olive oil dipping spices such as paprika, dried dill, dried sage, parsley, and even fennel seeds whenever you want to switch it up. You can find them in the very heart of Yorkshire, up on the tops, and high amongst the blue sky, clouds and brilliant Yorkshire air.

Made with our cold pressed Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil, these bread dippers can also be purchased in a customisable trio and make a brilliant gift. All of our products are made by the Palmer family and their team on their farm on the Yorkshire Wolds. Salad Dressing: I am pretty sure that you won’t have leftovers, but if you do, this olive oil bread dip makes a great salad dressing. Make Ahead: If you prefer to make this bread dipping oil a few days ahead, I recommend using dried herbs and spices instead of fresh herbs. The seed is pressed only once, ensuring the very best quality product containing the maximum amount of flavour and goodness for you.Breckenholme Trading Company Ltd, North Breckenholme Farm, Thixendale, Malton, North Yorkshire, YO17 9LS. A delicious combination of flavours with the perfect blend of British cold pressed rapeseed oil, garlic, oregano and balsamic. All of their award-winning products are made using our own cold pressed Yorkshire rapeseed oil, from seed to bottle we know our jars and bottles inside out. Italian Seasoning: For those times I am short on time, I keep a jar of homemade Italian seasoning in my pantry so that I can make this in minutes.

I’d recommend looking for a specific recipe that is designed to be kept longer – perhaps an infused oil of sorts that is heat treated. Because of the grated garlic, I recommend storing any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator. The secret to this incredible dipping oil lies in its perfect combination of dried herbs, spices, and extra virgin olive oil. I used this a little differently, but the spice combo for the exception of the red pepper flakes (I was out and substituted 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper) was perfection! You can also pair it with other accompaniments such as olives, roasted peppers, or marinated artichoke hearts to create a mini antipasto spread. Serving children: This easy bread dip is perfect to serve to family and friends, especially during the holiday season. Dip it “well”: If you let the bread sit in the oil for a good minute or so, it absorbs even more of its delicious flavor. If you like, you can sprinkle some freshly grated Parmesan cheese over the top of the oil to add a little cheesy goodness and complement the flavors of the oil. Cheese: Grated Parmesan cheese is a classic ingredient in any restaurant-style Italian dipping oil, but it is an optional ingredient here.

Please see the recipe card further along in the post for exact quantities of ingredients and the full method. In addition to being enjoyed with bread for dipping, this seasoned olive oil works well for other uses. Every purchase supports Harewood House Trust, a charity set up to support our conservation and education ambitions, helping more people discover Harewood has to offer. These 200ml Bread Dipper Oils are amazing teamed up with crusty bread or splashed over salad or fresh pasta. I mean you can't have an olive oil dip for bread, without a loaf of bread 🙂 For me, the best bread to serve it with is Italian bread such as focaccia to keep the Italian theme. We’ve all been to those Italian restaurants where they serve you fresh bread alongside an olive oil bread dip right? I don’t know about you, but if I’m at a restaurant where warm bread and seasoned oil is brought to the table before dinner?

The good news is that the recipe itself is so forgiving that if you are missing an ingredient or two, you can easily substitute it with another ingredient.I love seeing your creations and remakes, so be sure to rate the recipe, comment and share your Bread Dipping Oil photo on Instagram so I can share the love!
