About this deal

Attaching Christmas light control boxes in place, attaching LED lights to the underside of kitchen cabinets, keeping the spring loaded ashtray lid in my car from opening unasked, but the major success was the attachment of a satnav screen to the dash of my car.

You should however, remove the black tack from your equipment within a couple of days to avoid marks from extended use. All you do is take some sticky-tack and squish it out flat in a table, then you colour it black with a sharpie, kneed it in and repeat until it is black throughout. Our grey adhesive tack is often referred to as DIY Blu Tack® as it is perfect for use within the home, garage or workspace. It is non-toxic and specially formulated so it can be left in place for several hours without leaving any residues when it is removed (although we don’t recommend that it’s left on the outside of models or equipment for more than a couple of days to avoid marks from extended use).

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Nicknamed Elephant Blob, it’s strong bond, flexibility and all-round tacky texture makes it an essential work person’s putty tape. It is very sticky and works perfectly on my many black appliances eg tv with fairy lights and printer bits etc. Then, grab an additional piece of Blu Tack® and press it into the Blu Tack® in the carpet and pull it away to remove as much as possible.Blu Tack Grey’s unique shade offers discreet application, going undetected on most dark surfaces, such as home appliances, electrical devices, cables and car dashboards. Blu Tack is a brand of adhesive putty that can be used for a variety of purposes, such as hanging posters and securing items to walls or other surfaces such as miniature supports and handles for painting and modeling. Just handling it leaves a black stain which means that although it can be removed with isopropyl alcohol, I'd be wary of what I applied it to just in case it left a permanent stain.

I have found black sticky-tack to be very useful in filming as it is easier to hide that bright blue sticky-tack. Do not use on recently decorated surfaces or absorbent, silk-screen printed or hand stencilled wallpaper. It’s a great product, mouldable and flexible and has sealed the mounting holes exactly as we needed. It provides a permanent yet easily reversible fixing for DCC decoders, wiring, cab and directional light installations, DCC sound upgrades, sealing speakers enclosures, weights and ballast, and any number of other modelling uses. Some mention that it's nice and sticky, with a good strong adhesive, while others say that it wasn't as sticky as suggested, it'll stick anythin to anything, and it'd be very hard to remove. Shotgun microphones are commonly used for capturing dialogue, mounted on a boom-pole or a camera, while lavalier microphones are often used for their discreet size, making them great for hiding on talent, while still providing fantastic vocal clarity. It is perfect for supporting and holding small components in position and effectively acts like a third hand during the construction of scale models, whatever they are made of, whether it be metal, plastic, card or other similar materials.
