I have many Amouage fragrances in my collection and this is my least favorite one but I do like the fragrance. Solid choice for anyone looking to make an expensive splurge Beloved Man is an uplifting indulgence. I can lightly sense something ever so slightly camphoric right at the back which may be producing all this sweetness. Why they chose THIS scent for an exclusive / limited distribution is beyond me; it seems like this one was made for the masses. What is left is primarily an extremely creamy citrus scent that is as smooth as custard, but as airy as a mousse.

coherent composition in itself :D next to the other Amouage fragrances is not much reported about this one. I could get a Parsons Whitehall, or a Creed Royal Oud for much less and my nose would be more satisfied. Imagine walking through a beautiful garden on a sunkissed autumn evening wearing your wayfarers and a clean white shirt! I've smelled some accord here in a bathroom urinal soap at a school I used to attend and that completely ruined this for me. As the fragrance dries down late the Declaration vibe completely goes away as Beloved Man turns relatively woody, and my enjoyment and overall interest level increased substantially with the change.

I'm surprised not to see more reviews from women as this is easily unisex and such a beautiful and unique take on grapefruit. One spray on my arm lasted a whole day ( i've tried it before a couple of times but decided to give it a chance again). You can easily avoid the brutal mustiness described in another review by keeping it to ONE spray only. This little pricy bastard meant to light up those moments in your life when you feel like you wanna remember forever for that moment. It somehow reminds me of saffron from Histoires de Parfums Veni but in Amouage it’s lighter, more quiet.

While this is obviously hyperbole, I’ve come to imagine this as the scent of the morning after the pandemic ends. IMO it is as if Reflection Man, Darley, and Dia Man danced the Beloved night away----voila, Beloved Man! When I read your first line describing Beloved, I immediately thought of a favorite of mine I found last year, HM by Hanae Mori. In all cases, Beloved would work really well as a discrete fragrance that is practical and versatile for every day use.
