About this deal

Registered office: V12 Retail Finance Limited, Yorke House, Arleston Way, Solihull, B90 4LH. Authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. If you don’t need to go hamster, then the answer is yes. But conventional scratchers will be happy enough. The lag is a hefty 4mm per side, but if you fancy breaking out the old school credit card mod, you should be able to close up this gap to whatever you like.

Feature wise, as Ive mentioned above the filter is strange at first but an excellent addition, after a while I came to prefer it to separate channel filters such as on DJM series. Another sweet ability is to have the ability to connect 2 inputs to each channel, meaning you could have a CDJ and Technics in the same channel, and these are basically controlled by the gain of each at the top. It's basically a 2+2 mixer - it's strange but works well. And those amazing fully analogue filter! My mixes are so precise and clear! If you ever played with Xone 62 or 82 you know the sound, especially for vinyl. Phono-preamps on all digital mixers (pioneer, numark etc) are so harsh and bad sounding. With this mixer your vinyl will sound the same as with Xone 62 or 82. Or I don't hear much difference. What I hear is HUGE difference with Pioneers. Really. You will be surprised why they are considered 'industry standards'. Because everyone plays mp3s?

Allen and Heath Xone:23 DJ Mixer Overview

Build like a tank. We all know that Allen&Heath DJ mixers made 10 years ago (or so) were not so durable. This is not the case anymore. I take Xone23 with me twice a week in a club during two years and it is still looks and sound just like brand new! Unbelievable build quality. Not any single flaw! There’s not really too much else to add: It performed exactly as you’d expect a two-channel mixer too with no surprises. As predicted the filter is addictive, the headphones volume was nice and loud… and that’s about all you need to know about using the thing. Conclusion The Allen & Heath Xone:23 is a 2-channel DJ mixer that comes with professional DJ features and controls such as 3-band EQ with total EQ kill as well as the legendary Xone filter, selectable crossfader curves, an additional microphone channel and a total of four inputs. This robust and compact DJ mixer is perfect for scratch DJs, home DJ setups as well as nightclub and bar installations. For this updated 2 + 2-channel mixer, the 2 channels have dual line and phone inputs, so four total inputs with a line and phone pair each routing to one mixer channel. However, rather than a single input level knob with a line/phono switch like on the Xone:22, the Xone:23 has input level knobs for each of the four inputs. So you could have both inputs active on the same channel if you wanted to; otherwise, you can kill one input with a full level cut. From the official user manual: switch to line levels on the phono inputs You should get an instant answer on whether your application has been successful, though in some rare cases Klarna or V12 may need to look at the application in more detail.

If an item can not be repaired, a similar alternative product or cash discount (as defined in this policy) will be offered Output Levels: From its balanced XLR main outputs, the Xone:23 pumps out a maximum +28 dBu, up from the Xone:22’s +25 dBu. Still on some very silently recorded vinyls Gain is not enough (some 'silent' albums with 20+ minutes on each side). For singles Gain is enough.Between the faders are knobs and buttons that control the Xone filter. There are two buttons that choose between high-pass and low-pass filter shapes. Next are knobs for resonance, featuring Allen & Heath's signature "mild to wild" range, and cutoff frequency with a range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz. The filter sounds good, but its limitation is that it's shared between the channels, unlike the bigger Xone mixers that have multiple filters for mixing. At the bottom is the crossfader. It has a decent feel, and users who are serious about cutting can easily upgrade to the compatible Innofader. Rather than a curve adjustment knob, a simple switch toggles between gradual and sharp crossfader curves. Metering is handled by a pair of nine part LEDs — five green, three amber, and a single red one. From a master perspective, they operate post-everything, but when cue is engaged per channel they become post-input, post-EQ, but pre-filter, which means that you can’t cue filters in your ears, which would have been nice. FILTERS Being honest right at this moment there is not real point in getting the 23C, apposed to the 23 useless you want to record in balanced output of high quality. If you like Allen & Heath and want a budget mixer, then really your choice is between this and the Xone:23C, the latter having a built-in sound card. The advantage of going down that route is the (unlike in the accompanying talkthrough video) you won’t need an external sound card for adding a couple of digital channels, but the disadvantage is that if you ever want to use it with a Traktor or Serato DVS, you’ll need one of their sound card anyway, and as the Xone:23C doesn’t have a sound card licensed to either of those set-ups, it’d be redundant.
