About this deal

With that in mind, we’ve put together all the rules of Hajj (and ‘Umrah) into a simple guide to ensure you perform this spiritual obligation correctly. Note that menstruating women can’t do Tawaf or pray, but they can take part in other parts of the pilgrimage. To summarise - so far, you have passed over the Meeqat, made the intention to begin your Hajj and entered into a state of Ihram. As such we try to make their lives easier by offering various services such as financial planning for Hajj, guidance on writing an Islamic will and full facilities to help plan your trip, book your Qurbani / Hady and offer any other related assistance. However, during the thousands of years that would pass, the site that was built to commemorate the lessons of Ibrahim’s (AS) trial, the miracle of Allah (SWT) and most importantly the belief in one God, was taken over by pagan Arabs and the worship of idols and spirits.

Sa’i symbolises the ongoing struggle that we encounter throughout our lives, as Hajar experienced herself. You can also watch our Hajj documentary series The Prophetic Steps, filmed in Makkah, to learn more about the different steps of Hajj, including the history of the Ka'bah itself. You may kiss the Black Stone, touch it and then kiss your hand, or point to it without kissing your hand. The Hanafi school of thought also stipulates that the top part of the foot should also remain exposed. We will always treat your personal information with the utmost care and will keep it private (read our privacy policy).

You may say Takbir (Allāhu akbar), Tahlil ( lā ilāha illā Allāh) and send Salawat upon the Prophet ﷺ. Once Sa’i is complete, men will have their hair clipped or shaved, whilst a woman clips her hair to the length of her fingertip. After doing Tawaf seven times, you will pray two rak'at, putting the Maqam Ibrahim between you and the Ka'bah.

However, you can do Istilam anywhere else in Masjid al-Haram, as long as you’re facing the Hajar al-Aswad. Other forms of Dhikr, such as Tahlil ( lā ilāha illā Allāh) and Salawat upon the Prophet ﷺ may also be uttered at this point.
