About this deal

Sukiwone Lovely balm Brilliant product. I usually use Elemis cleansing balm but do find mentioned this product so thought I would try it. It was worth trying as it worked well, soft clean skin & no after effects. It doesn’t smell as much as Elemis but still has a nice aroma. Would buy again. There's just one problem, though, because I love this stuff so much, I often apply more than needed to my face because it smells and feels so amazing. That means that I'm probably using more than the average person, and let me tell you, that isn't cheap. I use the Elemis Pro-Collagen Rose Cleansing Balm every evening, as the first step in my skincare regimen. This forms the first step of my double-cleansing routine. Pauline86 Pamper and equivalent to fancy brand Great smell, amazing texture, you have to put a fair bit of it to really enjoy the pamper, take off make up perfectly, can be slightly uncomfortable on eyes but it's a great product, can definitely be compared to more expensive balm ! RELATED READING: I love the original Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm too! It’s one of the best products in the market READ HERE Starbee1 wrote: “I usually use Clarins but it’s very expensive so I tried this … not disappointed at all, gentle on skin, felt very clean.” Jo says: “ Excellent cleanser. As good as the expensive brands. I was using Emma Hardie. Not any longer.”

Very similar to the best oil cleansers we know and love - this nourishing, deep working cleansing texture works as a two-in-one to remove every trace of make-up and daily build up while thoroughly cleansing the skin simultaneously. Starting off as solid formula, the balmy texture soon begins to break down with the warmth of your hands and, when emulsified with water, usually transforms into a silky oil or soft milk as the formula is activated. A year or so ago, Elemis formulated the Rose Cleansing Balm, infusing their bestselling Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm with rose, that soothes and calms skin as it deep-cleanses. It started out being a limited edition product, so I did not think it worth writing a review about. Great cleanser Have used this in the past and it’s a beautiful cleanser, smells nice, lasts ages and removes makeup perfectly, very reasonably priced . So bought another to let my daughter try it she may get hooked on it as well Using a damp muslin cloth under comfortable hot water, lightly polish off the cleanser to reveal clear and radiant skin. It acts as a great first step make-up removal and will also effectively remove eye make-up. I usually massage the balm all over my face with dry hands and face, and then leave it on a little while, before removing. I like how it seems to soften my skin, and nourish it.

Sue said: “I have tried many Balms over the years, but this one is outstanding. Even compared with a very famous name. So glad I found this. Easy to apply and really leaves my feeling clean, it’s great for removing my make-up too, mascara as well. Featuring a built-in LED light with four modes and equipped with a handy USB charging port, there’s no easier way to make self-care a priority this summer. For that spa-like feel, the soft silicone brushes heat up in a massage function to stimulate skin and gently scrub away dirt, oil, and impurities from the pores. ALDI

Multi-purpose product

Another review read: “Hydrating & gorgeous smelling cleanser. It is as good as a much more pricey similar product.” To look at, it's very clear to see that this Aldi product is a dupe for the popular ELEMIS cleansing balm. It features the same cute pale pink tub, and actually feels quite expensive for the price. Svetlana said: “I used to have Elemis rose cleanser. I had decided to try Pore ultimate one. I can say not much different. The rose cleanse is very good, smell nice and skin feels great and hydrated after, will definitely buy again!” I still can't get over how soft this made my face feel after one wash, which is something the ELEMIS cleanser just doesn't do. I'm not entirely sure if the product has the same pro-collagen effect like the ELEMIS original, so I can't really compare it in terms of prolonged use. MrsMidlife: “Love it! Definitely on par with the much more expensive cleansing balms. Feels lovely on my skin, glad I found it.”

The ELEMIS balm is a lot smoother to rub on the face, but it didn't make my face feel as soft as the Lacura one did. It's almost as if it act like a moisturiser too, which is pretty impressive to say the least. As always, Aldi has got the scent pretty spot on. Let's be honest, the scent is one of the best bits about ELEMIS products, so it's important that Aldi got it right, and they did! The balm smells virtually identical to the posh ELEMIS version, and is formulated with rosehip, sweet almond and rose flower oil. It removes all the grime of the day, my sunscreen, and if I’m wearing light makeup, all my makeup too. My skin feels clean, comfortable and wonderfully nourished. How do I use a cleansing balm?brookess Great product! Lovely cleaning balm, smells and feels wonderful on skin and does a great job cleaning/removing makeup, better than micellar water . The key is to use a splash of water during the massage stage. It loosens the texture, gives the product a good 'slip' around the face and means you can really break down stubborn make-up and grime. Grazia's Best Cleansing Balms At A Glance: The Elemis Pro-Collagen Rose Cleansing Balm does smell a little strong. The scent of fresh roses wafts out into the room the moment you open the cover of your tub. I’m quite vocal about my dislike for fragranced products, and rose-scented products are usually top of my list. As a whole, the Aldi product smelt virtually identical, which proves just how good they are at duping scents. The scent definitely played an important part in my verdict, that's for sure. The verdict

Unlike the original Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm, I don’t have to store it in the fridge, so it sits prettily in my bathroom at room temperature, without melting. It is worth noting that I live in the Tropics. I don’t know how it performs in cooler temperatures. Special mention must be made of the Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm which is affordable and effective, and the Three Aiming Cleansing Balm, which isn’t affordable, but is lush as hell! 😀

I absolutely adore its cleansing balm and think that it's the perfect product to remove your makeup. It's luxuriously buttery formula makes taking my makeup off before I go to bed feel like a trip to the spa - it's by far my favourite cleanser. Fifiho said: “Bought this as a recommended dupe for a premium cleansing balm, which I can't afford any more! It certainly delivers.” It's said to 'transform from a solid balm into a silky oil texture' just like the ELEMIS product, and it certainly does that. I actually really liked the addition of the exfoliating feature, and wish that my ELEMIS balm did the same. The scent C Sut said: “Decided to try this balm after hearing it was a great alternative to a well known , more expensive brand and am very happy with it. Will be recommending to my friends to try for sure and hope to save a lot of money switching to this without compromising on quality (and quantity!)”
