I can't thank everyone on this forum enough esp those who have commented on my thread. the video pasted above gave me the idea of what i needed and then it was just 2+2 together kind of thing. there is two white rubber bushes which look like they would fit into the pin but I'm still not 100% if that's what I need. EDIT 2: I think I have figured out where i can get the two parts from. one kit does the spacers ( i think that's what they are! i hope) and then the other kit does the rubber bushings which go into the plastic spacer and the clip secures them. So i am almost certain the full linkage with new metal bar needs to be replaced. Although i have done loads of jobs on this car, i don't know how confident i would be doing this. is there anyone in/around leeds that would be able to give me a hand or do the job labour paid? along with my full time job I am a part time carer so rely on the car heavily.
