Pom-Pom also seems strangely bound to the train, mentioning that he can’t go with the Trailblazer or the rest of the crew outside the Parlor Car. He also gives you rewards for raising your Trailblaze Level, which would make sense as the Aeon of Trailblaze. The conclusion of the discussion? Pom-Pom is simply Pom-Pom. It seems that the majority of players simply don't care whether the train conductor is male or female and just enjoy their snarky attitude when you come on the train to get your Trailblazer Level Rewards. The Astral Express Data Bank, which you can read from Dan Heng’s room (the Archives) or from the Data Bank icon on your dashboard, has a few entries about Akivili the Trailblaze and their interactions with mortals. Those entries describe Akivili as a friendly Aeon that enjoyed adventuring with their followers, the Nameless. They used to ride the Astral Express with said followers until their sudden disappearance. The Astral Express is said to run on the deceased Aeon’s heart, though Himeko said she never found such a thing on the Express. She theorizes that the Express must have a different way of harnessing the Trailblaze’s power, even after their passing. Pom-Pom: Welt used to be an animator, and he seems to be very proud of his work. Whenever things got slow and everyone had some downtime, Welt would use his "mimicry" ability to re-broadcast his show for everyone. Pom-Pom: On several occasions, Pom-Pom caught Welt sleeping in the middle of the broadcast! Pom-Pom: I asked him if he wanted to turn off the cabin lights and his mimicry broadcast so he could go to his room and get a good night's sleep. Pom-Pom Quests are short quests given by Pom-Pom when you visit them in the Parlor Car! These quests are all time-gated and must be finished within 4 hours. These quests are also random and repeatable on a daily basis so don't forget to visit our sweet conductor once in a while! Players can get one free Star Rail Pass (used to summon characters) and various other rewards every five levels. That said, it’s always a good idea to return to Pom-Pom, claim your materials every few levels, and use them to upgrade your characters, Light Cones, and more. A Reddit post has gone viral, in which the poster simply asked whether Pom-Pom is a boy or a girl. Over 2.5 thousand upvotes and comments were left on the thread with fans discussing the animated bunny's gender. Still, she says, “But [Akivili’s] passing came so suddenly that it was thought they were murdered by another Aeon. I don't believe that to be the case.”
