Skin Aqua Tone Up UV Essence (Lavender) is a “toning up” sunscreen or sunscreen that has a “brightening effect,” that is SPF50+ / PA++++. Its lavender color is the key to the “brightening effect” that would help even out any skin tone. The lavender color, which is made of two colors, “blue” and “pink,” are important factors that help give the skin a natural-looking finish. The “pink” would help bring out a lively “blood-like” color, and the “blue” would help give a transparent effect. Also, the sunscreen has a pearl-like look, making the skin look glowy naturally. What I love the most is the finish – it is extremely skin-like and doesn’t leave any white cast. You can not even tell if you are using any sunscreen or not. Pityrosporum Folliculitis/Malassezia folliculitis or simply known as Fungal Acne is a persistent acne-like condition that commonly responds poorly to traditional acne-treating methods. Unlike most cases of Acne where bacteria is the culprit, Fungi is the culprit of Fungal Acne (Hence the name!). There are certain classes & groups of ingredients that have been shown to promote and feed the growth of the Fungal Acne, Fungi such as fatty acids, oils, esters, polysorbates and fermented ingredients. The Silicone-free label only includes the most common Silicone ingredients that have indentified been reported by individuals that could potentially cause issues.

There is not a huge difference between the two products in terms of the moisture agents and the effectiveness of protecting your skin from UV rays. However, the two colors of the Skin Aqua Tone Up UV Essence, lavender and mint, are made for different skin types. While lavender is mainly for anyone to use, the mint green version is more for those who may have redness to their skin caused by acne, pimples, or other skin problems. Additionally, products that may contain ingredients that have shown to feed Malassezia may not neccessarily exacerbate the condition due to concentration of ingredient used in the product, this information is simply not available on the products.

I’ve been using the Skin Aqua UV Super Moisture Gel for quite a few weeks now and I can say I like this sunscreen a lot. It takes less than 30 seconds for the product to absorb and create a film on the skin. In this way, one can know if the sunscreen is ready for protection or not. There has been some healthy controversy surrounding them due to a few studies finding paraben presence in breast tumours and breast tissue. However, the majority of the scientific community have deemed these findings non-conclusive due to the limitations of these studies. Skin Aqua UV Super Moisture Gel is a chemical sunscreen with chemical UV filters – Octinoxate, Uvinul A Plus, Uvinul T 150, and Tinosorb S. Parabens are a large group of preservatives which are used to prevent bacteria growing in cosmetic formulations. As a result, please note this is only an experimental label that can be best used to possible identify problematic products you have used in the past. It is in no way a perfect identifier nor a predictor in whether or not it will exacerbate or cause fungal acne. It will continue to be worked on as more information and research comes to light.

It protects against UVB, UVA II, and UVA I almost uniformly, and is considered to be the broadestrange sunscreen available today. There is also an often cited Japanese study that made patch tests with lavender oil for 9 years and found a huge increase in lavender oil sensitivity in 1997 (from 1.1% in 1990 to 8.7% in 1997 and 13.9% in 1998). This was the year when using dried lavender flowers in pillows, wardrobes, and elsewhere became fashionable in Japan, so it seems that increased exposure to lavenderresults in increased risk of sensitivity. The sunscreen has Alcohol in it so it does have a strong alcoholic scent like the Biore Aqua Rich Watery Essence. The scent goes away within a minute so I don’t bother. But if you are very sensitive to fragrances then I suggest you stay steer clear of this product. My Experience: I honestly thought that it wasn’t going to work well with my skin (or any type of skin) because it seemed like it had a white cast at first glance. However, as I started spreading it onto my face, I noticed that the product was more on the transparent side! I was surprised to see how nicely it blended with my skin without it looking too unnatural. It was also very surprising to see that it instantly made my skin look brighter and healthier!As for the disadvantages, Zinc Oxide is also not cosmetically elegant. It leaves a disturbing whitish tint on the skin , although , according to a 2000research paper by Dr. Pinnell, it's slightlyless white than TiO2. Still, it's white and disturbing enough to use Zinc Oxide nanoparticles more and more often. If you are concerned about the health safety of parabens, then feel free to avoid them by looking out for the Paraben-Free icon.
