The light colour of the granules reduces heat retention, and the granules help prevent an infestation of fungus gnats and prevent weeds. The organic plant granules can also completely replace your potting soil. They store water well to reduce your watering needs, especially on hot days. Mix the granules with normal potting soil to loosen it and aerate the root balls of your plants and increase their access to nutrients. We recommend a mixing ratio of at least 10% organic plant granules to soil. The higher the percentage of granules, the better the water storage.
