At first, I thought the chocolate was a little less impressive than the standard of Galaxy that I know, but then I realised why. The chocolate egg itself is exactly the same as the Malteser egg. It had scrumptious crunchy bits and was ever so moreish. The German retailer also sells dark chocolate and caramel, and white chocolate and raspberry ripple flavoured eggs too.

You may find one size Easter egg from a brand is gluten free, while a different size has a 'may contain' warning. If you're going out of your way to buy a Galaxy Easter Egg, personally I think it's only justified that you expect the chocolate egg to be made from Galaxy, not the same plain, underwhelming chocolate you get in all other Mars Inc Easter eggs. I was really disappointed because I had high hopes for this egg, and then I realised I'd bought an Easter Egg pretty much identical to the last, give or take the chocolate that comes with it. Up first is the Cadbury Creme Egg, an Easter staple and I thought was the best way to start the review. The box comes with a large Cadbury chocolate egg and two individual creme eggs.
