And you need to know that the fridge you’re getting will meet your needs and hold up to the daily grind of life on the road, all while staying within your budget. It depends. Some electric coolers may be waterproof, but they’re not necessarily. While they do have a tight seal for insulation purposes that would keep the rain out, many electric coolers have exposed electric elements. A camping fridge is probably the most important item when you’re overlanding on a trip in a campervan or hitting the trails. When you’re off-grid, energy efficiency is a huge concern. Batteries and solar are expensive, and the more energy efficient your appliances are, the more money you can save in capacity (or the more time you can spend off-grid while still powering everything you need). On an 80-degree day, the PowerBank is strong enough to maintain the internal temperature of the electric cooler at 40 degrees F for 10 hours or 10 degrees F for 6 hours. While BougeRV is fairly new on the scene, they seem committed to becoming a reputable brand and are playing the marketing game well.
