During testing, I found that hitting 1-3 and 10-12 were pretty easy, as they occupy the outside edges of the thumbpad. The issue was in the 4-9 buttons. They're simply too close together, and the differentiation in angle isn't big enough to consistently hit the right button. The buttons are different heights, but the differences are so slight that it doesn’t matter. It's very easy to press the wrong buttons in the middle rows. The Corsair Scimitar RGB Elite features the iCue software. With the software, you can program the macro bank to be able to do whatever you want. The buttons’ programming is pretty easy. You just need to select one of the buttons, hit the record icon, and proceed with whatever you want that button to do, and it is saved. Also, you can easily assign patterns to the RGB lighting zones. The iCue software also provides you with a very helpful calibration tool. However, there is a common problem with the Corsair, all of the 17 buttons are so close together, and it can be hard to hit the button you desire. Across its entire line of products, the Razer Synapse software is still a winner. Outside of some stiff competition from Logitech's G Hub, the Razer software suite is one of the best around. As I began playing (casual/tactical) shooters on PC, i came to appreciate having the number row (weapon/equipment) controlled by my thumb. Note that I play games like Battlefield and Insurgency, not Quake. Generally, it's not important for me to keep perfect aim while I use the number row, due to weapon switch delay and whatnot. I've also found the buttons helpful for games with lots of inventory items, like Minecraft and Sea of Thieves. Directly switching to weapons/items is much faster and more reliable than scrolling (or radial menus to some extent), and i don't like taking my hand off of WASD for so long. The biggest change is that the Naga X dramatically reduces the weight of the Pro, dropping from 117 grams to a mere 85 grams. It’s not quite an ultralight, but still feels surprisingly meager given its large size. At the same time, it’s solid shell is structurally solid, with no creaking even when I’m trying to make it happen. This slimming down is a welcome upgrade from the Pro which felt downright heavy in comparison to Razer's other recent mice. The Naga X is also much lighter than its siblings in the Naga range, which is great for anyone who prefers keeping their mouse as light as possible. It weighs in at 85 grams, which is far below the 117 grams of the Naga Pro. It's also wired, which is still the gold standard for many PC gamers, even as wireless tech continues to get much better.

The main downsides (for me) of the Redragon were it's weight and poor grip. The ring finger and pinky rests were too sloped to get a firm grip.If you are reading this on any third party apps (such as unofficialao3), or on any platform besides AO3, Tumblr, and Wattpad, then you are reading stolen work. MMO Gaming Mouse - Razer Naga X | Razer United Kingdom

When it comes to MMO mice, you're mostly going to look elsewhere within the Naga range for competition. The Naga Pro is the top of the line if you want to go wireless and get swappable side panels. However, it's much more expensive, coming in at nearly double the price of the Naga X. The Naga X relies on Razer Synapse—the company’s configuration software—for button mapping, RGB customization, and other setting changes. The app has a clean interface that makes it easy to find and change any setting you want. For the Naga X, specifically, Razer Synapse features a separate screen for customizing the side buttons, which cuts down on clutter and makes it easy to see what you’ve mapped to each button. I'm trying something new. I'm starting a series for my dear monster lovers. Each fic will have their own tags so the reader knows what they're getting in to. The PixArt PMW3391 sensor is surrounded by brushed aluminum, and the logo is written on the LMB edge.I don't use profile/DPI switching, so I'm planning on rebinding the button behind the scroll wheel to "hypershift" so I can assign even more buttons to the mouse (for less-essential features). The changes aren’t limited to weight, however, and the few I noticed first were downgrades. There are no swappable panels, for one, so shifting to a traditional 6-button setup is out of the question. Razer has also changed the finish to a more gritty matte plastic that feels more grainy under the fingers. The rubber grip on the right side of the Pro is now textured plastic and really doesn’t work well to support a mouse of this size, constantly causing my pinky to slip anytime I need to lift it up. That said, this is also a much cheaper mouse and concessions have to be made. Leaving the interchangeable side panels for the higher tier mouse is an acceptable trade-off, but making the Naga X more slippery is not. That's doubly true when it comes to day-to-day work, though you can get pretty creative with bindings if you want to. Still, unless you play MMOs, you're probably better served by a more standard mouse layout unless you have some unique workflows. It has four RGB zones found in the front, macro bank, logo, and mouse wheel. And it allows you to customize each one of the zones individually. Razer Naga X The shape is perfect for me. I'm about 90% palm grip, 10% finger tip grip with medium-sized hands. My thumb sits mostly on the 5 button with the 1-3 row easily reachable with my thumb's tip. My ring and pinky fingers sit comfortably, and my pinky is able to provide lots of grip without cramping. In general, the grooves of this mouse are very ergonomic and satisfying.

The Corsair Scimitar RGB elite is three inches wide. It features a groove for your right finger on the textured area on the right side. Compared to some other FPS mice, the Corsair has a different ergonomic feel, which is a pleasant one. The Corsair is 119.4mm x 77mm x 42.4mm, and it weighs about 122g. Despite the fact that it has so many inputs, it would have been nice if Razer put more Naga Pro premium features in the Naga X. Specifically, I wish more mice had tilting scroll wheel inputs, which are great for macros and miscellaneous keys in custom setups. I also wouldn’t have minded if Razer kept more RGB lighting. As it stands, only the scroll wheel and side pad numbers light up. I assume these features were taken out to cut down on weight and/or price, but they would have gone a long way towards making the mouse feel more substantial. With only weight and the standard MMO side pad to set it apart, the Naga X feels a bit basic on paper. Overall, the Razer Naga design has not changed a lot, it has a small resting place for your finger on the right side, and the general shape of the mouse fits nicely in your hand. The Naga X is 119.13 x 74.50 x 42.93mm, and it weighs about 110g. Since 1982, PCMag has tested and rated thousands of products to help you make better buying decisions. See how we test. If you're in the market for an MMO-style mouse that you can also use for FPS, I would recommend comparing all your options to the Razer Naga X.If he wants to interrupt, he can only watch.
