About this deal

Okay, so we now know everything we can about the two products, but how do you actually carry out the OLAPLEX Stand Alone treatment on clients? We’ve created a simple step by step below so you’ll always have something to follow no matter where you are. Keep reading to find out more… No.4: Repair bonds while gently cleansing with the Bond Maintenance Shampoo, which imparts moisture, strength and manageability. Mix 1/2 oz (15ml) No. 1 Bond Multiplier with 3 oz (90ml) water. This can be adjusted accordingly for different hair lengths. For example, if your hair is very long, 1 oz No. 1 can be mixed with 6 oz water. Lightly saturate. Your hair should be damp but not drenched. Let this process for 10 minutes and do not rinse. Without rinsing, apply a generous amount of No.2 from roots to ends and comb through thoroughly. Process for a minimum of 10-20 minutes. Rinse, shampoo and condition. Follow with moisture and protein where applicable. Olaplex is compatible with all colour lines including semi, demi, permanent, direct, high lift, glosses, toners and oil delivery systems.

The No.0 treatment and No.3 mask are add-on treatments your hairdresser might suggest you use at home. ‘They give the user the ability to continue repairing their hair whenever they'd like', says Tom. However, No. 1 can not be used alone. It is meant to be mixed with bleach powder or color or diluted with water. No. 0 can be used directly from the bottle. What is the difference between Olaplex No 2 and 3? There are a few fun ways stylists can use No. 2 as an add-on service above and beyond adding it at the shampoo bowl after using No. 1 mixed in with a color or chemical treatment. Stand-alone treatment Apply the No.0 Intensive Bond Building Treatment to small sections by squeezing the liquid into the hair to be absorbed.Much of the buzz also comes from its ability to protect your hair from the damage associated with harsh bleach, such as breakage and brittleness, before it happens. Olaplex is the only product of its kind with 8 worldwide patents publishing soon. Olaplex is free of silicone, sulfates, phthalates, DEA, aldehydes, and is never tested on animals. So, basically, the stand-alone treatment done in salons is No. 1 and No. 2. The at-home equivalent (just a little less potent) is a treatment done with No. 0 and No. 3. How can No. 1 and No. 2 be used in salon services? As someone with fine, low-porosity hair, I always struggle to find a volumising product that works for me. It's not often they deliver the same result as shown on the model, or they’ll leave a residue that feels a little crispy once dried.

best results. This product is for all hair types, especially those with visible damage. Take a look at the video below to see how the process can work for you. Olaplex designed another treatment pair that requires less precision to be used at home. No. 0 Intensive Bond Building Treatment is a diluted version of No. 1 that is safe to use at home. No. 3 Hair Perfector is a less version of No. 2 that pairs with No. 0. Apply the No.3 Hair Perfector (read on to find out more!) over the hair with the No.0 Intensive Bond Building Treatment still in your hair. Comb this through and leave it to process Start by using the No.3 mask once a week and the shampoo and conditioner every other hair wash. You can then amplify their efficacy by using the No.7 Bonding Oil as a post-wash styling treatment.

What does Olaplex do?

No.5: Restore, repair and hydrate hair—without excess weight—with the Bond Maintenance Conditioner. It eliminates damaged frizz for strong, healthy hair. Olaplex works to repair hair internally. No. 1 and No. 2 are used together as a powerhouse treatment to restore and protect your hair. The main purpose of No. 1 Bond Multiplier is to be used in conjunction with chemical services to protect and repair damage during the treatment. Because of this, it has very specific usage instructions. These are the ultimate foundation for all of the OLAPLEX range. They can be used as a stand-alone or in a chemical service treatment. Using these 2 would be the most nourishing for your hair as they contain the highest amount of Bis-aminoproshyl.

That said, I noticed an instant improvement in the softness of my formerly straw-like hair after using the No.3 mask; I’d often catch myself twiddling my silky ends during the day, particularly after leaving it to marinate overnight. Having got my mitts on the Olaplex No.8 I decided, for a brief moment, to do exactly what I was told for my hair. I freshly shampooed, applied (a few more than) the recommended 2 pumps, swooned over the delicious scent – not strictly in the instructions but I challenge you not to do the same – and worked the product through my mid-lengths to ends with my fingers. The OLAPLEX Stand Alone Treatment comprises two OLAPLEX products; OLAPLEX No.1 Bond Multiplier and OLAPLEX No.2 Bond Perfector. We know that all these numbers can get slightly confusing, so we’ve separated them out for you so you can take a deep dive into how both products work👇 Olaplex No.1 Bond Multiplier 525ml

How often should I do an OLAPLEX Stand Alone Treatment?

No. 2 works effectively to rebuild and continue to restore any remaining broken bonds that may have been missed by OLAPLEX No.1, ensuring full nourishment to every strand of your clients hair. Hair is left feeling stronger, shinier, and healthier. The formulas are powered by a compound called bis-aminopropyl diglycol dimaleate (rolls off the tongue, doesn't it?) which fuses compromised bonds that have been damaged by chemicals, thermal heat, or mechanical factors like vigorous brushing.
