The calibration of mm-wave radiotelescopes has been discussed in Kutner & Ulich (1981) and a technical report from the Institut de Radio-Astronomie Millimétrique (IRAM) 30-m presents the details of the calibration procedure 2 for that telescope which is representative of mm-wave radiotelescope calibrations. Nevertheless, there are differences between the GBT and the IRAM 30-m telescope. For example, the GBT has amplifiers before the heterodyne mixer and has no image sideband. Total Power for me was a two for one. Being a fan of both the Military/Political Thriller and the Post Apocalypse/WROL genres, Total Power was a grand slam on both counts. It is eerie how close to home Kyle Mills hits with the topics of his stories. With the correlation from last year's Lethal Agent, and the COVID Pandemic we are currently facing, I hope that the topic of this one never comes to fruition. In Total Power, America is under a complete shutdown of the Nationwide electrical grid, brought about by a ruthless individual, who had some help from some external forces. No spoilers, but thank goodness Mitch Rapp is on our side. When Mitch Rapp captures ISIS’s top technology expert, he reveals that he was on his way to meet a man who claims to have the ability to bring down America’s power grid. Rapp is determined to eliminate this shadowy figure, but the CIA’s trap fails.

So a lot of reviewers I respect did not give this book a very good review. And I guess I could see why, but that was last summer/fall. The supplier’s Fix for Five contract offers much of the same advantages as its SmartFix plan, only over five years instead of between 1 and 4. Available for both gas and electricity, Fix For Five offers the same price throughout the length of the contract, meaning your business avoids any wholesale market increases. Kyle Mills has constructed a Doomsday scenario that is not all that far removed from reality. In an author’s note Mills states: “The terrifying thing about this book was how little I had to make up.” Equations ( 9) and ( 12) can be compared only if we have manually subtracted the sky plus receiver noise contribution from the TP spectrum (this will be discussed in the following section), in which case T a(TP) = Δ T a(SM). and V a(TP) = ( V a,ON− V a,OFF)(SM). Customers can make an informed decision about their business energy supply and how it affects their carbon footprint as a result of this information.

Wow, all I can say is wow! Before I get to deep into Total Power, I must first let you know that I was chosen as a Mitch Rapp Ambassador. This means I received an ARC for an honest review of Total Power. If I was able to give more than five stars, I would. This is easily the top book of the sixty-three I have read or listened to so far this year. First off, thank you to Atria Books for selecting me as a Mitch Rapp Ambassador and allowing me to read an Advance Reader edition before the book is released on 9-15-20. Secondly, thank you Kyle Mills for the amazing work you are doing in continuing the Mitch Rapp saga. Well done!Rapp and his team embark on a desperate search for the only people who know how to repair the damage—the ones responsible. But his operating environment is like nothing he’s experienced before. Computers and communication networks are down, fuel can no longer be pumped from gas stations, water and sanitation systems are on the brink of collapse, and the supply of food is running out.
