About this deal

Saturday at Spa for the F3 grid was a wet one. The Sprint Race saw 3 safety car interventions and ultimately ended behind it.

Floersch after a disappointing stint in F3 made her debut in endurance racing in 2020. For the next two years she would race in the 24 hours of Le Mans – LMP2 alongside Beitske Visser and Tatiana Calderon as part of an all-female team and the European Le Mans Series. Competing with Richard Mille Racing and Algarve Pro racing. This is a question that over the years every BTCC fan has asked themselves and each other, with everyone having their own different opinion. Given it's sixty-five-year year history, I'm not even sure how - of even, if - we can find a definitive answer. But over the next few weeks, I am sure going to try! The first Singapore Grand Prix in 2008 was won by Alonso and the Renault team in one of the most famous cheating scandals the sport has ever seen. Nelson Piquet Jr was instructed by team boss Flavio Briatori and Chief Engineer Pat Simmons to crash into the wall at turn 17(removed for 2023) because there was no crane in that area and it would guarantee a safety car, he agreed to do so with the understanding that he would be resigned to the Renault team for 2009. On lap 13 Renault pit Alonso, lap 14 Piquet crashes into the wall and when everyone else pits Alonso assumes the lead and bish bash bosh Renault win the very first Singapore Grand Prix...............but they didn't resign Piquet Jr and he wasn't happy about it, so he exposed the whole thing to the FIA and the world. Briatori was orginally given a life time ban for participating in any FIA governed motorsport (this was lifted a while ago), Pat Simmons took a short ban but ultimately returned to the F1 pitlane years later. Alonso was allowed to keep the win and the result stood with everyone keeping their points, but this has now become the center of the Massa legal case for having the 2008 championship result changed because the points for this race should never have been given if Renault cheated. We wait with baited breath to see the outcome of this first of it's kind court case. Its important to state that Alonso still denies any knowledge of the events taking place around him( but didnt question why he was pit 11 laps early) and to this day claims this win as one of his best. But an unexpected highlight glimpsed from the trailer is the behind the scenes access to the process of making their Formula 1 cars, something most teams choose to keep close to their chest, and which will be one of the real highlights of this documentary. Sophia Floersch became the first women to collect points in Formula 3 world championship after finishing 7th in Formula 3’s Spa Francorchmps feature race.

Q3 started without both Redbul's for the first time in recent memory and Lando Norris getting through marked the Mclaren mans 10th consecutive Q3 appearance despite their tough start to the season and both HAAS cars had made it to Q3 for the first time this year. Hamilton pipped Sainz to 5th with overtakes on Gasly, Alonso and Sainz in the closing 2 laps. We can't not mention Alex Albons brilliant drive from 17-7th either, well done that man!!! Here I've had a go at sketching a crank segment to quantify how effective such a groove would be. The Cosworth type relief reduced the pin fillet stress by 6.5% right away - with a bit of tweaking I am sure the effect can be doubled. On the restart Edgar is top, Collet 2nd Barnard in 3rd,O'Sullivan 4th.. O'Sullivan makes great move into turn 1 and takes both Barnard and Collet to go into 2nd place with 14 laps to go and even gets a pretty good look at Edgar before another Safety car period is needed for the car of Marti who was beached in the gravel and the car of Cohen who was out due to an unrelated incident.and also adding his name to the DNF list was Faria who pulled over at the end of the pit wall, needing to be cleared.

A further test of devices aimed at reducing spray from the cars in wet weather, after a failure of a first attempt earlier this yearThe big end drillings - each journal shares two rods - these holes enter into the internal oilway and are 3.5mm in diameter. They also have an eased trailing edge to promote oil wedge formation at low rpm in respect to the hydrodynamic oil film present between journal and shell pairs, F1's sporting advisory committee will study the potential ramifications before the idea is put up for formal approval in January.

A statement from the FIA said the Commission had given "overall support" to the changes to the sprint format.Teams are given an allocation of tyre per weekend within which they may choose the amount of each compound they want for the weekend. I say near, as the top is very clearly dominated by Redbull, specifically Max Verstappen who has entered a league of his own as he looks to break the record for the most wins in a season, which he already holds as he took 15 wins in 2022. With 12 races left of the season he currently has eight victories; he aims to hit his sixth in a row in Hungary. Taking nothing away from other triple-winners in BTCC's history - which include Bernard Unett, Frank McGovern, Win Percy and Neal's Team Dynamics team-mate, Gordon Shedden - it is Matt Neal's story that will forever live on within BTCC folklore. For each topic, I will highlight not only who the record-holders are but the other chief contenders who should also be given consideration.

The FIA is also looking into allowing the use of cooling race suits, but this would require a change to the rules to force teams to add ballast to the car if they did not choose to use them to ensure competitive conditions were equal across the grid.

Do F1 journalists go to races?

Immediately the Mclaren of Lando Norris was fast only trumped by the Mercedes of George Russel with the pair exchanging fastest time but after everyones first timed runs it was the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc who topped the times with Perez and Verstappen only managing 3rd and 4th. Aston Martin kept just inside of the top 10, Alonso in 10th keeping him third place in the drivers standing and Stroll in 9th. Williams just missed out on points as Albon finished 11th but after tyre degradation Logan Sergeant was forced to end his race with one lap left. Onto the part itself - I'm starting first with a few basic overview shots, I'll touch on the finer details as we go, One of the best parts of the race weekend pre-COVID would be going to the grid, something reserved for permanently accredited journalists. It would give a chance to soak up the atmosphere and occasionally grab tidbits of information that can help make a story.
