About this deal
For instance, interacting with a crow gives you extra movement, while interacting with generators moves you one step closer to escaping. As the killer, you get that same feeling of moving the couch and watching the survivors scatter like cockroaches.
I decided to make a discord server for it so if you or anyone else here are interested, feel free to join. There is also personal custom content for players who are interested in expanding their possible matches even further. So yeah, DbD does not strike me as board game material, unless it completely changed the concept of the game. The ideal scenario is a full game, with four players playing survivor and one playing killer, though the game is still playable as the numbers go down.
Most actions in the game require characters to interact with props, and these props come in 4 different categories. Sadly they're still a pretty small company so haven't branched out to have a European distributer yet.I've been pretty damned impressed with it, especially with how it is really quite easy to pick up and play, and that it captures the feel of DBD really nicely. If you're the Killer, you want to accumulate 8 sacrifice progress, which you get by sacrificing Survivors on the hooks found throughout the trial grounds.
Once you pick your location (through a double-sided board) you and the other players roll a Skill Check Die and place your Survivors, and the Killer player does the same. He joined Dicebreaker as editor-in-chief in 2019, and has been trying to convince the rest of the team to play Diplomacy since. If they release a DbD board game, there should be event cards like Basement Bubba, T-Bagging Dwight, etc (if they take a more humourous approuch of the board game). Some rooms you can only sneak from/into, others you can only run out of, so you need to think ahead about where to move and how to coordinate your progress (especially if you control multiple characters at once, so you don't get "stuck" somewhere). From the overpowered killer with supernatural powers to the survivors using hit-and-run tactics on generators and sacrificial poles.
