The plastic is so brittle that as soon as it touches any hard surface it breaks off by the strimmer (no good for strimming round trees, fences, rockeries etc then) but they are so tight to get on and off I had to get my husband to replace them and he had problems. The Gtech blades do tend to wear out quite quickly so you tend do go through them but if you’re careful and not too heavy handed it’s possible to get them to last a bit longer. I used some of the cutters today and I have not seen them so bad , its not the first time that I have bought them I am on my second strimmer, but these I had delivered on saturday are so brittle they split and fly off ,I' m used to loosing them off the strimmer but this is worse , are they made of a diffrent sort of plastic ?
