About this deal

The Reebok resistance band is adjustable. It is also available in three different resistance levels. This means that these resistance bands are incredibly variable and you can use a single band for near enough an entire workout – though you will need to progress through to heavier resistances eventually if you want to maintain progressive overload. They come in three different strengths (not amazing, but decent enough for a lower budget brand). These are 4-8lbs (the light pink ones), 5-10lbs (the medium pink ones) and 6-12lbs (the purple one). You get all three in the set. This will be everything you need to get you started, all for less than twenty quid. There are some smaller touches which help the FitBeast bands stand out. These include the waterproof (read, ‘sweat proof’) bag, padded handles for comfort and that extra set of handles. Having two sets means you can do resistance band exercises with a partner using just one set. Like an enormous elastic band, flat resistance bands are the typical mobility and strength-work-on-the-fly bands that you've seen peppered all over fitness-focused social media accounts. They're the ultimate space saver, weigh almost nothing and are incredibly affordable. Similarly, you can grind out almost every standard exercise with one of these resistance bands. That they're suitable for yoga and pilates is just an added bonus. Mini Resistance Bands

Having more bands in a set has its own advantages. Though you can change the resistance offered by an individual band to a small degree, by doubling it over or only taking one edge, or by changing hand position or anchor points, you will still find yourself somewhat limited. Smaller leaps in resistance over more bands will allow you to progress more smoothly and will offer more scope for training to methods like RPE (rate of perceived exertion – basically training to the point you feel able to on any given day, which takes some variability).

Why: 'This exercise is incredible for overall abs and core strength,' says Miljak. 'However, it can be difficult for most people to perform, so this exercise uses the band for assistance instead of resistance.'

Training Manual and Video: We offer training manual and video, which has detailed training instruction and recorded manual. Whether you are a beginner or experienced one, you will get the professional training guidance and achieve the effective muscle exercise. The full set of five range from 15lbs to a whopping 175lbs! Beginners looking to use them as pure resistance bands will obviously do better to start at the lighter end of this range – or go for a different, lighter brand altogether. However, for stronger, more experienced, a top resistance 175lbs is incredible. Many mid-range athletes would struggle to bench press this much for any number of reps. Resistance bands exercises might look tame on the surface, but they can add serious value to your strength workouts. That's because unlike dumbbells, kettlebells and weight plates, which remain equally heavy throughout the entire rep, resistance bands become increasingly challenging as they're pulled apart. Details: AWAKEN YOUR POWER ------ Strengthen Your Body, Arouse Your Vitality. Get your Healthy and Toned Body in Record Time! For starters, fabric bands, or booty bands as they are also called, feel much more pleasant and comfortable to the skin compared to bands made of latex. So, you can safely use them with shorts without worrying about them rolling up and pulling hair. One of the great benefits of resistance bands is that it’s so easy to adjust the resistance level to suit your fitness level. There are three ways to do this. The first is to choose a different resistance band from among the five bands included in the kit. The second is to combine the different bands for more resistance. The third option is to increase the distance from the anchor and stretch the band further. The further you have to pull the band, the more energy it takes and the more resistance you face doing so. More resistance leads to better results. As they say, “go big or go home.” Regular travellers, in particular, should be adding a resistance band to their repertoire of suitcase essentials since a holistic model like the GymProLuxe can fill in as a multi-gym when the hotel you're staying in has closed its gymnasium (or doesn't have one). Even if you're heading to your local gym every day, being in possession of your own resistance bands can help you jump the communal queue, and turbo boost your gains. This is all quite pricey, however. It sits roughly in between the mid and lower ranges of what we have so far reviewed, and you only get 1 band. Those free guides start to look a lot less free… Apart from that, you can use these resistance bands for physical therapy and recovery as well as for increasing your body's flexibility. Provided you execute the exercises right, these things can also lead to improved posture and mobility. The design of Starktape’s figure of 8 bands look amazing and give a great level of resistance for their price and type (figure of 8 bands rarely hit such impressive resistance figures as we have seen above).

You can get more control of the resistance levels by changing your workout. The bands offer a full spectrum of up to 100lbs of resistance when used with the right combination of bands and exercise techniques. This is one fitness stretch that you won’t soon forget. Loop bands also bring a lot to the table. Classically, it’s common to see them used for side steps and so forth to work the outer legs, though they have far more uses than this. They are particularly good for rehab post injury and physiotherapy to overcome any weak points, especially in the limbs. They can also be used as improvised SlingShots to aid with chest press power. However, CoreSteady’s bands can also be used as pull-up bands. This means they can be looped around a captain’s chair or something similar, you can stand on them, and perform push ups with them taking some of the pressure off. High weight ranges start to make sense for beginners, here. If you weigh 200lbs and struggle to perform pull ups, take one of CoreSteady’s mid-range resistance bands and suddenly you can hit high reps. They are one of the biggest fitness equipment and apparel companies in the world, so it’s no surprise that Reebok have their own line of resistance bands. They are, also probably unsurprisingly, pretty decent – far from the best, but very good, very cheap, and with a few key quirks that earn them their place on this list. When you use a set weight to perform an exercise – say, a bicep curl – there's a point near the top of the rep 'where your muscles are actually not exposed to stimulus,' says Lankester. With a resistance band, your muscle is under constant tension throughout the full range of motion. The result? Greater gains. Resistance Band Exercises Will: Reduce Your Injury Risk Why: 'This is a great isolation exercise for the entire pec muscle, without recruiting as much shoulder involvement,' says Miljak. Make sure they’re anchored properly, to something stable such as an external door or a solid fixed point.

Whether you're performing total-body exercises or targeting specific muscle groups, 'resistance bands are the most versatile loading method,' says Hanrahan. 'You can use it in isolation to perform most of your favourite dumbbell and cable machine exercises and you can pair it with your weights to add more resistance.' Resistance Band Exercises Will: Train Small Muscle GroupsThe recyclable professional-grade latex that these bands are constructed from stays flat even after excessive use. You won't have to worry about snapping. The bands don't leave marks on your clothes. Experiment with angles. Barbells and dumbbells are good for lifting heavy weight, but bands are all about mind-muscle connection and spot targeting different stretches of muscle. Try a few different angles, adjusting fulcrum points in relation to anchor points, until you feel the ultimate stretch and resistance in any given muscle or muscle group. Realistically, once more, big looped bands or handles will work well for all of this, though the result can be achieved with most styles.
