Spotify Connect* gives you instant access to millions of songs on your Evoke C-F6, using the Spotify app on your mobile or tablet to directly connect and control your music wirelessly. Built-in Bluetooth lets you choose your favourite music and send it wirelessly direct from your mobile or tablet. This radio has a rechargeable built-in battery that can last for up to 10 hours. This includes all the major UK stations as well as foreign stations, so it could be a good choice if you’re learning a foreign language or live in an area with poor FM and DAB radio reception. The standard Evoke D4 with Bluetooth radio comes in maple casing, but you can choose from a range of colours in the Evoke D4 Mio with Bluetooth range. The colours on offer are the same as those in the Evoke D2 with Bluetooth range (raspberry, almond, aloe, cerulean, charcoal, pewter, scarlet).

You’ll love the ultra-clear, easy to read 2.8" colour display that displays extra information and brings a splash of colour to your listening. The system looks pleasant enough and offers plenty of functionality, similar to many other Pure products, like the Avalon or Siesta Rise. We really appreciated how immersive it felt to use this radio and the fact that we could access Bluetooth streaming as well as DAB. This can be easier than using a small fiddly remote, as you can instead use the screen on your phone and search for stations rather than having to scroll through them. You can also get an Evoke D2 bluetooth DAB radio with a papercut casing designed by Rob Ryan , or one with a Sanderson wallpaper design, if you want something really quirky.

One particularly impressive feature of the Pure Evoke is how much power it manages to fit into such a small space. You should be able to easily fit this device into any room of your home. If you just want a digital radio and aren’t interested in connecting it to the internet, an Evoke D2 or D4 is probably a better option. As with all Pure Evoke radios, you can except great sound quality.You can adjust the settings on the Pure Evoke C-D6 DAB radio to give your music collection extra depth, clarity, and bass. Autotuning: Once powered on, the radio will automatically search for the available stations. Wait for it to complete an autotune, after which a station will start playing. Unlike the radios looked at so far, the Evoke F3 is an internet radio. This means you can connect to WiFi and listen to Spotify or the 20,000+ internet radio stations from across the world. You can also connect to your phone or other device via Bluetooth to use your radio as a wireless speaker. Despite a relatively compact design, you’ll get a room-filling stereo that’s ideal for drenching your home in sound.

A cheaper alternative is the Roberts Blutune100, which has a similar price tag to the Pure Evoke C-D6 and also has very similar features. The Blutune100 has an acoustically tuned wooden cabinet that helps give it an attractive retro design. This particular radio system comes with an attractive real-wood casing, which is common throughout the Evoke portfolio.Another thing we enjoyed about the Pure Evoke C-D6 is the fact that it’s future-proof. We’re not just talking about being able to access Bluetooth streaming here, either. If being able to listen to CDs is important to you, the Evoke C-D4 is a great digital radio/CD player combo. If you’re just interested in listening to the radio, or are content with connecting the radio to your phone or laptop, the Evoke D4 will do the job at a more affordable price.
